• Offensive collapse is biggest surprise. Indy showing how well their last OC did. Philly runs least motion in league. They don't challenge you mentally.

• Michael Irvin: This game against Washington was big because normally they collapse with this many mistakes in 1st quarter. Commanding victory. As I watched game, I realized there was no panic attack. They didn't say "Ohoh, here we go again on the road..." That was growth.

Nightcap with Unc & Ocho (starts at 52:00 for long video)

• Unc: Cowboys saw all those greats against Detroit in Jimmy Johnson's ROH induction. That is what they want. According to League Source, message from Jerry Jones to team was you cannot squander the #2 seed. Man.. no one cares about that. Certain bosses always like to remind you they created the opportunity. We know you the CEO. A lot of people with more money than Jerry, but not as famous. He can't get out of the way.
• Ocho: Mike McCarthy says he won't participate in drama of a GB vs. DAL game. Only person who will create drama is Jerry Jones. Dak said I don't want to wear NFC East stuff, I have my eyes on the bigger prize. That's your leader. Nothing else need be said. Follow him. Nothing from owner. Jerry needs to get out of the way. We need you in the background. Jimmy was the alpha.

Cowboys OT

• Not a perfect game, but Cowboys checked off every box they needed to finish season:
  • Run Game got going, did not give up run game
  • 2 penalties, 20 yards!
  • Defense had 4 sacks
  • No sacks on Dak (with starters missing)
  • Dak Prescott and CeeDee recovered from offensive stumbles, 4 TDs passing
  • Kicker got over yips end of season, unlike last year
  • Won a Road Game!

Best Mid-Day Shows and/or Posts:

Chris Simms usually has fair takes. Another guy slamming Jerry for his undermining comment on Coach Mac which went under the radar here at the Zone. I guess we're just used to it. LOL

PFT Live

• Green Bay looked good midseason with a streak, then played stinker against Giants and Bucs
• This game is dangerous. Don't take Packers for granted.
• Cowboys like to play man-to-man, Packers can beat that
• Jones has three 100 yard games to finish season.
• Why is Jerry saying to media -- "We'll see how each game goes." That's not a message to send your team. The message from that is "Hey guys, your coach is your leader. Unless he loses. Then he isn't!"
• Have not seen teams do that to Bears Defense. This is a good offense in Green Bay.

Best Later-Day Shows and/or Posts:

Speak one of the more consistent shows these days. James Jones used to play for Big Mac in Green Bay and shares some things he sees that he knows were coached by Mac.
Hangin' With the Boys usually has the best podcast on DC.COM although today was tame. Half crew out. Flu going around there.
PTI, Around Horn, some other shows that weren't worth watching IF you just want Cowboys takes. First Things First not a bad show but didn't include this time.
Colin Cowherd's The Herd was mostly on Jerry for his comments implying he will fire McCarthy if he loses.

SPEAK

• Is this the year for the Cowboys? We say this every year. Difference this year is:
  • Dak Prescott's execution and extending plays
  • Home record
• Shady still a hater. This show tried to ride on the Cowboys hater bandwagon like other smart hosts who want ratings. But they are slowly coming around.

HANGIN' WITH THE BOYS

• Nate pretty confident about team. 2 Home Games. Healthy enough. Rest of the Playoff Teams all have issues. Ravens only one that might be a step above.
• Shannon still worried about consistency stopping the run.
• Jesse and Curt out sick. (Hope it's not going through the STAR! )
