Let me clarify, I mean simply a player you didn't like for whatever reason or who's production (or lack of) you didn't like and you are happy he is gone.

An example could be TO, he produced a lot on the field but was a cancer by many accounts and there are quite a number of people that were happy he was cut despite his numbers.

or

Ben Roethlisberger because of his numerous sexual assault incidents despite winning 2 superbowls. I know he has not been cut or has played for the cowboys but I am just using him as an example of someone people wouldn't like because his off the field actions despite being a "winner."

I will start. KEVIN OGLETREE. *GASP*

Let-er rip zoners :)

I automatically think of Jimmy Smith. I wondered this too......like we always complain when guys or let go or stuck on practice squad and leave...I wondered have any of those guys actually panned out that people held in high regard as fans?

EDIT: I'm actually confused by the question. Is it the best player who has been cut or the best player that has been cut that we didn't like? That's an even harder question lol.

I think the question is, which player were you happiest that the Cowboys cut?

Didn't we cut Emmitt Smith? TO was a big cut, and DWARE will play well in Denver. I know those are different types of cuts, but still cuts. Other players we cut who blossomed later??? I think of Amendola, and Smith.

Craig Morton to the Bronco's and TO being allowed to leave the Ranch because of some perceived sleights to his ego.

We cut Terrence Newman and he's a better corner than Mo Claiborne right now. I still wish we would've kept Mike Jenkins too, Trading up for Claiborne has been a huge mistake.

No way. Claiborne prob is staying healthy. Newman has no speed.

Jimmy Smith
Todd Christansen
Ron Stone
Ken Norton

most of the others were at the end of their careers or had only 1-2 years left

Fwiw we didn't cut norton and Todd Christiansen cut himself.
I'd add Duane Thomas ( who also cut himself )

Who was the Kansas City guard who had a hall of fame type career? I believe he was a rookie in our camp so I would guess he was cut.
