Who is the best quarterback prospect in college right now, regardless of year?

I'm not qualified to answer that, but I will say I saw Johnny Manziel play in high school and he's dirty at QB. Won the starting job from Jameill Showers who was the general consensus starter after Tannehill graduated.

Barkley, Wilson, Bray, Logan Thomas, Geno Smith

Since you said "prospect" it could easily be none of the front-runners for the 2013 NFL draft. In fact, the odds are about 50% it is not one of them if you go by historical stats.

If you want best QB right now, then any of the rankings list will get you close.

Tyler Bray impressing me tonight. He definitely has the arm to play at the next level.

Geno Smith so accurate. Love to see him on the Cowboys.

After watching McGee, who reads defenses and gets the ball out quickly?

Geno Smith's last 6 quarters of football: 52-66 with 9 TDs and 0 INTs.

Matt Barkley, Landry Jones and Gino Smith will all likely be first round picks next April.

I'm a fan of Tyler Wilson. Prototypical size at 6'3 220 and while he doesn't posses an elite arm, it's definitely above average and shouldn't prevent him from making NFL throws. He does a great job of placing the ball where only his receiver can get it. He'll throw an occasional deep ball that hangs on him, but for the most part he's what you're looking for in terms of leading his receivers and throwing to a spot. Mechanics are solid, quick/tight delivery while keeping a good base and willing to stand in the face of pressure to deliver a strike. Also love how he throws on the run while utilizing his mobility, he's no Vick but Wilson is athletic enough to get out on bootlegs and keep defenses honest.

Very clean QB prospect, though I doubt we have the chance to draft him. He'll probably be Matt Barkley's main competition to be the top QB off the board.

Casey Pachall is a Jr to keep an eye on; 6-5, athletic with a live arm and gunslinger mentality. He has a ton of confidence in his arm, as he should, and it should be fun to watch him continue to develop his game. As he becomes an upperclassmen I'm sure the TCU coaching staff will put more on his plate, relying on him to make more pre-snap reads and challenging him to go through all his progressions... something he'll need to do at the NFL level.

your forgetting

Tyler Wilson, QB, Arkansas
Tyler Bray*, QB, Tennessee

Not forgetting either. Bray big time arm on display last night.

I would go with Barkley as of right now.

Quite a few in that discussion too IMO (Wilson, Bray, Jones et al). I'm interested in keeping an eye on Logan Thomas, he's a talent.

Alex Carder, QB, Western Michigan
Height: 6-2. Weight: 224.

watch this kid in later rounds

someone we might be able to sneak in

2014

Sam Durley of Eureka college
6-5 240
just set the all time record with 736 yards in one game

true division 3 but so was Ken Anderson
