We need to draft Hayden Hurst TE...let me explain
1. There are NO real standout WR..sure Sutton andca few others might be good
2. We need to establish our run game[ our strength)
3. We need someone who has hands & can seperate

Hurst is #1 blocking & receiving TE in draft...
We should implement the 2TE offense...like Pats did with Gronk & Hernandez

Why is it realistic to believe we'll draft a tight end in the first round as long as we have Witten? I'm not saying I'm opposed to it, only that I don't believe it's realistic.

Even if we draft him, we still need another TE to be the other half of the gronk/Hernandez tandem you want to implement. The closest to Hernandez we've had was Hanna and we didn't use him, Rico is potentially Marty B at best in our offense; Antonio Gates if he joins norv.

Our offense isn't changing dude and really you don't want it to. Garrett is an Ivy League, do everything the way you've been taught and you'll be successful, kind of guy. Croyell designed our offense, it went through some modern updates over the years and Garrett learned that updated version in the 90's and that's what we run today. Garrett has gone from student to teacher but stopped being a student. He has no idea how to design an offense. He's got a blueprint and that's what he knows, that's what he's seen be successful, he can't understand why it isn't succeeding now; it must mean the players are doing something wrong because he won Super Bowls with it.

If Garrett tried to modify this offense at all you'd find out real quick just how good of a coach Garrett is. I hope he modifies the offense...

Not happening sorry. Not even a possibility.

LVE or Evans if they are gone then I am looking at a Payne! BUT if for some crazy reason a guy like Josh Rosen falls in this draft that would be fantastic and Dallas should jump on him.

Durham Smythe Notre Dame might fill the void left by Hanna and could be had later.

Strengths
  • Has good size and should continue to grow into his frame
  • Has a finisher's demeanor as a blocker
  • Plays like an offensive lineman
  • Technically sound blocker
  • Hand placement is accurate and he unlocks his hips into opponent
  • Runs his feet on down blocks until the block is secured
  • Understands his landmarks and takes proper angles
  • Excellent timing and radar when working up to linebacker on combos
  • Plus blocker for the position in-line and on the move
  • Trustworthy in pass protection
  • Was able to work the seam and lay out to make the catch
  • Unfazed by hitters in the middle of the field

Makes zero sense to draft a high TE until Witten Retires. They just don't take him off the field.

calvin ridley
courtland sutton
rashaan evans
james daniels

my guess...calvin ridley

They visited twice with Sutton, dallas’ FO is so transparent with everything that they do. Realistically, Sutton is taken st #19, and if so, that is WAY too early, IMO

If I was to guess, the only TE we will be drafting is David Wells in the 6th or 7th rounds.
