I'm not a music guru, but I have enough in my background to be able to tell there was some things missing technically.

The National Anthem should always be honored with a dignified rendition like this. Too frequently 'celebrities' at sporting events like to take the song and make it their own, or wildly oversinging. It's not about them!

Just because I didn't jump up and down and bow to their greatness doesn't mean I didn't like their rendition. Don't be so sensitive.jksmith269;2005694 said:DUH... They are middle schoolers, if that. Hell they did a lot better than most adults Technically and you want to NIT pick their harmony... OMG
I thought they did a great job. Although I thought the lead singer's part took away from the harmony.FloridaRob;2005608 said:my favorite of all time. Super Bowl in Tampa by Whitney Houston. Country had just gone to war and it was just a special performance.

and 2nd is by a group called the Gaither Vocal Band. WG, see if you like the harmony in this rendition.

Some of you really need to get a grip, because I distinctly remember giving both of the groups compliments. Never said they sucked. So I'm not sure what more you expect. I can appreciate the job they did and still point out little things that I thought were a bit off.needforspeed;2006727 said:OMG. So, now GVB sucks. Whatever.
Tell me, does anyone satisfy your hypersensitive musical palate?
I still get chills at that.BrAinPaiNt;2006735 said:I know it is not the national anthem...but I have always loved Ray Charles version of America the Beautiful...just love it.

My favorite is Carl Lewis' version. I still crack up over Charlie Steiner losing it. :laugh1:

During the season, fans were pissed at how the Cowboys won. Didn't seem to matter that they won. They didn't win the way they thought they should've.
I wasn't throwing stones. I was actually pointing out that like many people who have an opinion. It's ok to point out something that prevents something from being perfect.needforspeed;2007376 said:[/b][/size]
Which is exactly what you did when you commented on these groups. It didn't matter that they did a good job. You didn't like the way they did it. Glass houses and all that sort of thing.

I never said I didn't like the way they performed. I pointed out what I perceived to be a flaw in an overall good performance. You don't like the fact that I pointed out what I perceived to be a flaw.
