I listened to the version posted. It was cute and the girls did a good job. Just saying, I thought the harmony needed a bit more work.

I'm not a music guru, but I have enough in my background to be able to tell there was some things missing technically.

DUH... They are middle schoolers, if that. Hell they did a lot better than most adults Technically and you want to NIT pick their harmony... OMG

The National Anthem should always be honored with a dignified rendition like this. Too frequently 'celebrities' at sporting events like to take the song and make it their own, or wildly oversinging. It's not about them!

I wish the Cowboys would revisit an old tradition re: the National Anthem... I still vividly remember Tommy Loy playing the anthem on his trumpet, solo, before games in the Cotton Bowl... Jerry ought to find out of Tommy had any kids who play the trumpet too, doing it that was simple and quite stirring...

Those kids were amazing, though, subtle harmonies and precise timing... my only quibble is when you're doing the anthem before a game, the fans don't want a funeral dirge rhythm, they want it sung, and get the game going... it was a tad too slow for the format, IMO...

I wanna go rewatch it to see which of the "cuties" hit that very high note when they sang "o'er the land of the free"... that would have been impressive from a full grown professional singer...

Just because I didn't jump up and down and bow to their greatness doesn't mean I didn't like their rendition. Don't be so sensitive.

I nitpick everything and middle schoolers aren't exempt...especially these young ladies. It seems they do this for a living. That means they're not the average middle schoolers, they're professionals...which opens them up to criticism...even the minor stuff that I heard.

I thought they did a great job. Although I thought the lead singer's part took away from the harmony.

OMG. So, now GVB sucks. Whatever.

Tell me, does anyone satisfy your hypersensitive musical palate?

Some of you really need to get a grip, because I distinctly remember giving both of the groups compliments. Never said they sucked. So I'm not sure what more you expect. I can appreciate the job they did and still point out little things that I thought were a bit off.

During the season, fans were pissed at how the Cowboys won. Didn't seem to matter that they won. They didn't win the way they thought they should've.

Very cute and very good.

My favorite is Carl Lewis' version. I still crack up over Charlie Steiner losing it. :laugh1:

Which is exactly what you did when you commented on these groups. It didn't matter that they did a good job. You didn't like the way they did it. Glass houses and all that sort of thing.;)

I wasn't throwing stones. I was actually pointing out that like many people who have an opinion. It's ok to point out something that prevents something from being perfect.

I never said I didn't like the way they performed. I pointed out what I perceived to be a flaw in an overall good performance. You don't like the fact that I pointed out what I perceived to be a flaw.

Somehow it's my fault that you can't just appreciate without the hate.
