Whether we might or may not remain "the best team in the NFL," I'm still stubbornly determined to remain appreciatively happy and proud of the Dallas Cowboys, win or lose in the months ahead. To be candid, I'm not necessarily expecting anything beyond entering the playoffs this year.
To me, anything that happens to come our way in terms of postseason glory will simply be more blessings added. Sure, I'd like nothing better than to claim a division title, a deep run into the playoffs and possibly a Super Bowl win to boot. This season has been more than most of us ever expected, though, and that's rightfully reward enough in itself.
In view of the fact that it's extremely difficult to reach those glorious heights and that it takes a substantial element of luck to do so, I'll be content, simply realizing that this team has its QB and RB of the future. I also believe we can add to that an excellent opportunity for these Cowboys to maintain their competitive excellence for a long time to come. Anything beyond what this team has already achieved is icing on the cake. Of course, if this team sees fit to delight us with more wins to come, we'll take it gladly.
