Hey guys considering the new stadium is underway and will be completed in years to come but what are the best moments of Texas Stadium so far in history of hosting the Dallas Cowboys. What games and moments are the best.

I'm a youngun and didn't get to appreciate much of the Cowboys' dominance.

Thanks

My favorite is from the only game i've seen live at Texas Stadium. I got to see Witten's first TD as a Cowboy.

I've never been to Texas stadium, but I have watched a lot of Dallas home games.

#1. Emmitt breaking the record in front of his fans.

Thats my favorite moment from a game that took place in Texas Stadium.

I'm with BBgun, although I've never been to a game, I've watched since 1971. The greatest game I've ever seen was the last game of the 1979 season (Staubach's last regular season game).

The excitement of the game was amazing. Harvey Martin throwing the wreath into the 'skins locker room following the game made it even better!

Greatest game ever.

Same here.

1996 - ATL at DAL - Troy hits a quick slant to K-Mart for the winning score.

That's the first and only time I've been to Texas Stadium...I'll be back there on Thanksgiving though!!

I have to say the Seahawks game when Emmitt broke the record. It was myself, Trickblue and 2 other friends of ours. I have been to 9 games but that game gave me goose bumps.

How about Clint Longley to Drew Pearson against Washington........the Abilene snake hunter was an All-Pro for one game. His problem was he couldn't co-exist with Roger!:fight:

That was a great game except for the loss... too bad that "challenged" chick was next to us...

Remember: "Oh what? LOOK... Emmitt broke the rushing thingy today, that's so cool... look guys, look at the screen, wow, way to go Emmitt!"

Well my best and only moment was sitting in JJ's box in JJ's seat on a tour, got a souvenir cup--it had their draft picks on it, think they had broughtthem thru on a tour, also unless it has changed the most interesting part is the little chalk boards in front of the lockers, nobody rates a nameplate, they only write your name there, it was totally like the NFL, they can erase you in less time than it takes to get dressed, the players never forget its a business and they are just a piece of meat......

Sad as it is to say, the ROH game with the Triplets.

Everything was setup to be awesome. The pageantry, the speeches, the unis, my seats..

The ending ruined it, of course.:

The only game I have ever been to was opening day 1998....Gailey's first game. When Deion came out of the tunnel I thought a bomb had gone off. The thing I remember most was Eric Swann and Erik Williams getting in to a fight and getting ejected late in the 4th quarter. :D

I was a month old during this one, but I watch it every cowboys/skins week. What a game.

My only TX Stadium game was the one in 2002 against the Titans. I was in awe walking into TX stadium and thinking of all the history that happened there gave me goosebumps...too bad the girl I took to the game wanted to leave at halftime and pestered me the whole 2nd half.

Too many memories, great and bad moments. Mostly good though. The usual ones mentioned already. How about the botched FG attempt on a Monday night against the Eagles. We came back and was winning, then a long play (was it a KO return) can't remember off hand right now. The the bad snap, Eagles could have won, but didn't.
Of course the Leon Lett dead bird day FG fiasco giving the Dolphins another chance. Also another Thanksgiving day game, the return of Jimmy. Everyone expected the Dolphins to beat us. We won 20-0.
How about Herschel Walkers first game, a Monday night against the Giants. Dorsett and Walker splitting time, but mostly Tony until he had a slight injury. Walker took over the 2nd half, scoring two TD's, and winning it for us. I have that game on tape, even though the quality is not that good as for the sound.

I was 12, living in Madison, Wisconsin. I seem to remember the Skins getting off one last drive and getting pissed at the refs over the clock. I think they were in position for a long Moseley FG.

That 1979 game was a classic, and probably my favorite Texas Stadium game.

My first game there was 1976 vs. the Bert Jones-led Baltimore Colts. My dad took me there and I remember walking along the concourse and seeing inside ... it was just amazing to see those guys in person (when you're a kid). It was hotter than heck in the first half when we were sitting in the sun ... then it rained in the second half.

Saw a playoff game in 1978 (I think). It was against the Falcons and it was the game that Robert Pennywell gave Roger a concussion and Danny White came in and tossed a TD pass to Jackie Smith (Yep, I said his name). The temperature was in the 20s and there was a typical North Texas ice storm later that night.

Been a couple of other times and was on the sidelines during a preseason game in 1985. It's hard to go back to the seats after you've been down there a few times.
