Best time/way to get tickets?

I am going to go to the Cowboys game in Atlanta this year. When is the best time to get single game tickets? Now, or wait until closer to game time? Stubhub? Ticketmaster? The prices on those 2 sites right now are ridiculous. There will be travel involved for some of the people in our group, so I don't want to wait too long and lose out. What is the best way to play the ticket game?

Ebay is an option. If you keep your eye out every day, you might be able to "steal" some.

I've purchased most of my tickets off eBay. Stub hub prices are pretty insane. But you do get great seats with stub hub

I'm going to the Atlanta game as well :D

My wife's cousin lives there and her husband and I are going to the game. We're sitting 7 rows from the field around the end zone. He bought my ticket

Umm...Ticketmaster sells them at face value. If you can't afford that, save yourself the travle costs, and ut your money towards an HDTV and an NFL Sunday Ticket subscription.

He's likely referring to the Ticketmaster TicketExchange which allows sale at above face value

correct.

The ticket prices on those sites will more than likely go down once the individual game tickets go on sale in July. FWIW, I've used stubhub and nflticketexchange (ticketmaster), and I prefer printing out my tickets from ticket exchange. Glad you're getting to attend an away game, where the few Cowboys fans there will be LOUDER than our entire stadium at home.

I'm of the opinion that you are almost always better off waiting as close to game time as possible. Right now you're going to be paying the premium of the first time the Cowboys have come to Atlanta since 2006 and the fact that most Falcons fans are confident they are going to have a solid team of their own worth going to see. You said you don't want to wait too long though, so it is really up to you how much you value that security.

If you buy now you will be paying a high premium for sure.

The conundrum is its the Cowboys. Cowboys tickets are always valuable, so as a Cowboys fan you have to pay to see your team. Season ticket holders for our away games love it when the Cowboys are coming to town - they know they will make $$$$.

The price will most likely come down considerably if you wait - but sometimes you just want to get it done.

Like this guy ^^^^^^ is saying

The closer the games gets..the cheaper it is

Exactly....certain events may lead up to cheaper prices, like say, a season ticket holder might not be able to go to the game that day, or the game itself does not generate much attention because a team might be horrible and nobody wants to go to the game. or...there are lots of reasons to wait a week or two to scout out some tickets. Now is not the time, IMO.
