What do you guys think would be the best ways to move salary's around to create more space?

Obviously if they come to an agreement w/ Hamlin, his number should go down. - probably around 1-2 million?

Getting Roy to restructure his contract would be smart. - saving maybe around 2 million?

Trading Ferg (which I don't like) would free up some space -2 mil.

Trading Akin or just releasing him would free up how much? - ???

Aside from parting ways with guys like Ferguson, Glenn and possibly Ayodele, I don't think we'll see much cap-massaging. The team has given reporters the impression that they will not be active in free agency, for good reason, so it makes sense for us to leave alot of this money on the books for this season, rather than push it forward and just look to the draft.

I agree with the doing that...but I wouldn't mind creating that extra space and getting Newman and Ware signed to extensions.

Also, if they were to use that extra space this year on say a trade w/ Detroit for Roy, then I'd be all for that as well.

Also, guaranteeing Romo's money for this year would free up cap space as well.

How would this free up space? Just curious.

I'm not sure how it technically works but it works along the same principles of when guys like Brady, Manning, and Aikman have all done it.
