Best win of the year

I don’t hate when they win, I just don’t get gassed up over a sloppy win, especially following a pitiful blowout from a team we were supposedly on the same level as.

I choose to see the positive. Life in general is better that way and no doubt, being a fan is *much* more satisfying when you root hard for your team.

I’m glad we won. Lots to clean up. The Pollard run was pretty great though.

Chargers are a very talented football team. Our defense played a great game vs them. This win was against a much better team then people will give credit for. After saying all that. NFL refs are horrible.

The big problem with the Chargers is they find ways to lose close games. They’ve been losing three point games all season. Good win for the Cowboys tonight and although the Chargers aren’t a bad team, they aren’t going to be contending for a Super Bowl this season. We got away with a lot of penalties tonight, which are going to kill us against a great team.

But are they?
Chargers have a terrible secondary and pass defense.
No running game - Ekeler is a pass catching back.
One good receiver in Allen.
Really bad offensive line.
Bosa is overpaid and overrated.
Head Coach is a space cadet.
That would have been a very bad loss for the Cowboys given they have a better secondary, better front 7 on D, better offensive line, better receivers, better kicker and ok running game is about a wash but to only put up 20 points on such a poor secondary is a major concern.
Cowboys D came up big - Chargers would have only scored 10 points but for the Special Teams blunder.

Chargers defense played 2 deep safeties and still shut down our running game while preventing big plays. I would say their game plan was good.

That was hardly the best win of the year. The giants game was.
They played uninspired, penalty marred, bad offensive play calling along with some bone headed plays.
This team needs a lot of work over the bye week. They need to reevaluate quite a few things, especially on offense.
Hopefully this week off does them some good.

While the win is great… they still only beat a 2-4 team. This game showed that McCarthy is a real problem. Lining up like other years .. can beat the average to below average team but never a real contender .

Anyway, first close win of the year. Dak came through, defense came through. Gritty win all the way around. 18 thanking the heavens. Feels good headed into the bye.

Many gave up before that.

Yeah, no. Best win was dominating the Giants no doubt.

This team looked sloppy tonight. We just happened to win which eases the pain. Don’t get ahead of yourself here.

Nice win, buy yeah, not getting pumped up. A long way to go. Beat the Rams and Eagles, then we can feel better, but even at that, still a long way to go.
They have a lot to clean up with that sloppy play / penalties.

Had to have the W before the bye. Mission accomplished. Lots of work to do to get better, but 4-2 at the bye is decent.

Keep it close and ignore the rules

Obvious miss on blow to head , PI on chargers several times
And the debacle on the punt where the charger had his hand on Tolbert face mask

Kept in the fight and. Loses the deal seversl times to prevent points

Our O line should improve as they are just 3 games in as a complete unit.

The run game is very worrisome

On the other hand our D run stopping is showing good progress and we have a ballers in Bell and Blsnd in the secondary

It is easy to say, if this happened or if that happened. If they got the TD. However that also changes the way the other team plays. They could go right back down and score, and their defense gets inspired and forces a punt or turnover.

So yeah, maybe 21 points, but what will the other team do to respond. Then again a TD could inspire our defense not to give up a score. A lot can change still.

What if the muffed punt did not happen. Does Dallas go and score. Or punt. What if if Pollards long run after the catch, say if he got tackled and a 1st and 10 at midfield. Does Dallas still go on to score, just another FG or punt.
