This was in the Eagle board, I want to see the difference

1. Rice= undoubtly

2. Moss= Talent alone would be the best

3. Irvin= What people dont realize is he had to go against Darrell Green, Aeneas Williams, and Eric Allen[he was ok] two, may be three times a season. This is a hidden stat

4. Harrison= Hes very good at what he does

5. Owens= A few more consistent seasons and he could move up

6. CCarter

7. Tim Brown

8. ARison

9. SSharpe

10. IBruce

hon mention

AReed, HMoore, THolt, IFryar, JSmith, JHorn

Carter above Owens. Where's Hines Ward? his production is right there with owens, harrison, and moss. U cant be subjective.

It is?

Ward has been good for only the past four years, during which he has averaged only 1,125 yards and 7.5 touchdowns per season. Owens has averaged 1,253 yards and 13 touchdowns, Harrison has averaged 1,408 yards and 12.75 touchdowns, and Moss has averaged 1,245 yards and 11.75 touchdowns (despite having one injury-plagued year during that time period). And all three of the other receivers had at least two big years before that, when Ward was putting up less than 700 yards each season.

Ward's production doesn't even stack up to Joe Horn's production, let alone that of the three guys you mentioned.

I'm not trying to be a homer, but move Irvin up to #2 and slide Moss to #3, possibly #4. Moss may have all the talent in the world, but no heart, and no competitive fire. He is still a kid and he cries every time he doesn't get his way. He gives a half-assed 50% effort when he doesn't feel like playing, even when his team needs him most. He even walked off the field before the end of one game.

Irvin, on the other hand, was probably the biggest competitor of the 90's and fueled the Cowboys to be aggressive in rout to 3 SB championships IMHO. If he wasn't risking death and being permanently paralyzed by playing again, I think he might still be on the field now getting ready for the season.

It's really unfortunate that Sterling Sharpe never had the opportunity to play longer. I had the opportunity to watch Sharpe and in my mind, he was better then Rice. Could he have played as long? Who knows but at the time Sharpe was in GB, he certainly looked as if he would be better IMO.

Unfortunate.

I don't know if I would have put him ahead of Rice, but at that time I had him ahead of Michael irvin, followed closely by Andre Reed. Some tough company there..

Rice is no doubt up there. regardless of how talented Moss is, Rice has a killer instinct. He's a good guy too, I live in Bay Area, he came out to our Pop Warner practice once, as did Roger Craig and Ronnie Lott(the only 9er I can really stand). I told em I was a cowboys fan haha.

Rice was decevingly fast, great hands, and his production after the catch was amazing. Remember, he played in Walsh's west coast offense. One of the reason the system suceeded, Rice was such a monster after the catch.

Ditto on Irvin and Carter. Carter was amazing in his day as well. The hidden stat on Irvin is very true. He was up against good CB in the division alot.

I can't even argue with Owens, disregard any of his off field antics, look at his games, and you can't disagree. Great player, head case. Big, Fast, good hands, Owens is a game changer, but I still dont like him.

Moss, IMO, could be the best WR of all time. Rice was very consistent, and until Moss can get some big game wins, and do it for as long as Rice did it (Pro Bowl at 38), he won't surpass him on my list. But no one changes the game like Moss does.

IRvin???

How many times did he make All Pro? At least 2 guys were thought more highly of than he all those years...who kept finishing with honors ahead of him?

1: Sharpe was a TE

2: Owens over Brown, Carter?

3: Andre Reed should be on the list

4: I hate to say it, but Id probably take Carter and Brown over Irvin

I think he's referring to STerling Sharpe, who was the first WR taken the year Irvin was taken by Dallas.

I love MI, but he is absolutely not the 3rd best WR in the last 15 years - not even remotely close.

Just to throw out a couple of names.....Carl Pickens, Joey Galloway. Not top 10 guys but decent careers.

hahah, come on. Galloway, u wanna get a rise out of us? haha. and Pickens, yeh, you're onto something there, except he played in Cinci, so no one will ever know what he could have done.

Michael Irvin holds four SB rings. Out of those top 10, only Bruce and Rice have one.

Irvin belongs in the top 3, the reason being is about 30 maybe even more of emmitts tds where setup by irvin. I remember countless amount of times when MI would make a catch and get stop at like the 3 or 4 yardline and emmitt would finish off the drive. That has to count for something. If MI had a little bit more speed he would reach the 100 td mark with ease.
