Best WRs in the NFCE? (1-4)

Turpin / Tolbert can be adequate WR3 , if we can get a good WR2, with Ceedee , we would have a good 1-2-3 punch with Fergie/ schoon combo our offense will be ready for passing game

( LOL, need a QB and running game , but lets defer that for time being ....)

I want to see quite a bit more of Turpin in that third-receiver role. I think we need to be careful not to overwork him, but he produced when he was put out there and is a gamebreaker.

According to the link posted by someone earlier, Terry Mclaurin had fewer targets per game than Brown, Lamb, or Nabers—he ranked 34th in targets per game. Had twice the TDs of any of them, though.

He’s also been a contested catch monster…at some point last season it was stated that since his first year in the league, Mclaurin had the most contested catches in the NFL and it wasn’t even remotely close. And a few years ago there was a stat that showed Mclaurin had the 2nd highest percentage of uncatchable passes thrown his way—which isn’t surprising considering he literally had 11 different mediocre-to-awful QBs throwing him the ball over his first 5 years…4 in 2020 alone.

Mclaurin is far better than some on this thread give him credit for.

This is a very good information for anyone reading who does not watch non-Cowboys games. It is why I emphasized the possible future for the Daniels/McLaurin combo in my earlier post. They have a high ceiling of productivity ahead for them.

When has he ever put up big passing numbers? He's never thrown over 4k in his whole career. What's your argument is what i'm asking. My whole argument is AJ Brown's stats suffer because of the offense he plays in. If you disagree then argue against that but i'm not entirely sure what you're arguign agains there.

He's never been one of the top passers, but I never said he was. But it's not as if he can't or hasn't been a solid passer and can't or hasn't thrown for enough yardage for receivers to put up big numbers.

In 2023 AJ Brown was 5th in receiving and Smith 20th. Brown had a better year than JaMarr Chase, Stephon Diggs, Mike Evans. Hurts was a little more middle of the road in yardage, but he still had 2 receivers with over 1,000 yards.

In 2024 AJ Brown was on pace to be 3rd in receiving in the NFL, but he missed 4 games. And that's even with the team emphasizing the running game a lot more after getting Barkely

Other than 2023 his stats have been as good or better than Lamb.

In 2024 Lamb had 115 more yards, but played 2 more games than Brown, plus Brown had more yards per game, more TD's & more yards/catch.

I'd say it's 1A Lamb and 1B Brown. CeeDee wins through consistency, he just goes out and drops an 8/90 line every weekend. Brown's peak is even higher than Lamb's, but he runs hot and cold.

#3 is Nabers, and he could gun for as high as #1 this season. He's a problem. What he did as a rookie with a dog water quarterback was amazing.

#4 is Devonta Smith. He's never got the volume to put up superstar stats, because he's sharing the rock with Brown and Saquon. But he's got an alpha-dog WR1 level of game.

You need to look up your stats again. Brown has had over 100 targets 4 times in his career and was only 3 short of it last year despite missing 4 games. Plus he shares the load with DeVonta Smith who typically gets over 100 targets a year himself.

I like golden but his 4.2 speed just doesn't show up on tape. I would have thought he had around the same speed as lamb. 4.2 speed I was expecting him to house a lot of the balls he got but I just didn't see him running away from guys like you used to see with DJax in philly or Tyreek hill.

But I do like Goldens hands and route running.

I'm sorry but there is 0 way you watch him and think he's the same speed as lamb.

His speed does show up on film.
