We ran the ball but again it didn’t seem like a priority. Once again Moore and the staff got away from the formula. They think certain teams we have to go after them with deeper passes instead of working up to it by running and short passes and then play action later for deeper passes.

Like the last games we lost. We will come out and run with authority and finish the game eating up the clock with it.

Our Defense has to stop the run. Stop the run and you can go after the qb. We should have sold out to the run. Was just a bad game from the Defense.

Moore needs to quit the cute stuff. Both picks were major back breakers. Blame the WR for not crossing the face of defender but Dak should have seen this. That pick in the endzone was a terrible idea. He should have taken off with it or threw it away. To many people around the ball.

Either way this next game will be and the rest of these games should be done with the same formula. It works. And just sell out to the run on Defense.

Run. The. Ball. I don’t know how many times a game I say it. I wish we were as committed to it as some teams.

Moore can call em all he wants.

It's up to Dak to not change the play at the line.

There's zero difference in what Moore called with Rush and what he's calling with Dak. The difference is Rush could see things better and not yell "kill, kill, kill" 50 times a game.

Hopefully they just call a game where they run 64 times and pass zero.

Even if the team gets shutout and has an embarrassing loss, some can finally shut up about the play distribution.

We obviously play better ball when the run game is established and committed too. However if KM wants to go pass happy this is one of the very few situations I wouldnt have a problem with it. Vikings secondary is beyond terrible / trash, pedestrian at best.

This does not mean abandoning the run game though

I reason for that pick in the endzone. There was so many defenders standing there. He should have taken off with it and got what he could or threw it away. Your in the red zone.

We're talking about Dak here though.

We have to remember that the game moves fast and he's not got the best football IQ out there.

If we had run more in the second half, maybe Rodgers doesn't have time for the comeback. Passing more in the first half is fine. Having a good lead in the second half is when we should run, run run. It milks the clock more than passing.

I know many didn't care for our first TD drive, but I loved it. That was a masterful bit of offense.

He should do what he does after a loss and runs the ball with authority. If Daks changing it a lot to pass plays then that’s a problem. Not sure why but they pick games and throw to deep to early before we have them watching for the run. We just aren’t the kind of team that can sling it around all the time. But our Defense was humiliated.

That’s why 2016 we threw shorter passes and run the ball. Set teams up. Works with Dak and Rush. I think Moore had Rush going to deep to soon in the egirls game. If we stayed the course we could have been in that game. This game the team just got punked. Our Defense got beat by a rookie RB.

The Cowboys give up 4.8 yards per carry on the season.....Minnesota isnt far ahead at 4.5 YPC. The opportunity to run should be there.

The problem with expecting 30+ runs this week is the Vikings really arent that good against the pass either though. They are 30th in the league giving up 7.4 Yards per pass attempt.

This is a team that defensively has a couple of really good players and a lot of JAGs who much like the Cowboys go for the big play. 10ints this year and 26 sacks for the Vikings.

I'm expecting a very exciting game filled with big plays all over the field.

I think we're better off playing Rush's take what the defense gives you style.

Dak isn't Mahomes, but he tries to be.

If he would just play like Rush then we'd be more successful. That ego though just can't be overcome.

I don't know what his football IQ is but I do agree with you that maybe he doesn't process info as quick as some others. I don't think he's at a Quincy Carter level of football simpletonism but he definitely is not Joe Montana or Troy Aikman

We’re going to need to score some points against Minnesota so we’re still going to be passing the ball quite a bit. Our defense is starting to break down and give up points. We’ve given up an average of 30 points the past two games. You score points in the passing game. We’ll still run the ball a lot, but we’re going to have to create some big plays in the passing game. I’ve lost confidence in our defense being able to keep opponents under 20 points, especially a team like Minnesota that just put up 33 points against the number one defense in the entire league.

We can run all you want but the defense is going to get the football ran down their throats so much they’re going to choke. Our offense cannot sustain back to back scoring drives. We’re looking to get blown out here.

Exactly!

Run, run, and then pass to run some more.

The thing is, you pass when they expect you to run, and you run when they expect you to pass.

Just out of curiosity, how many times do you think we passed it vs ran it in the 2nd half?

There has been no explanation why they threw the ball 46 times. We we playing with the lead all game and running the ball well. Even the last series we were getting 7 yards a carry. To not run the ball on 3rd and 4th down is poor play calling.
