Bet we run the ball next game

There has been no explanation why they threw the ball 46 times. We we playing with the lead all game and running the ball well. Even the last series we were getting 7 yards a carry. To not run the ball on 3rd and 4th down is poor play calling.

There was one series the entire game where they passed it way more than they ran it. The one before the end of the first half, and we scored a TD after we took over with 1:42 left.

Nothing that any of you whines about with this stuff is going to change the fact that we scored 28 pts against a bad team AVERAGING 17 a game. They'd have been 0-9 had all the other teams they played scored 28 pts.

Our defense gave up 31 pts (Green Bay's season high), over 200 yds rushing and allowed a struggling, injured QB to have his best day of the season and post a 146 QB rating. The offense did not cause this. Bad defense caused this.

Moore can call em all he wants.

It's up to Dak to not change the play at the line.

There's zero difference in what Moore called with Rush and what he's calling with Dak. The difference is Rush could see things better and not yell "kill, kill, kill" 50 times a game.
Agree! The only difference is who’s playing QB. They need to limit Daks options to audible out of plays because teams are showing defenses which makes Dak audible into predictable plays.Run The Ball!

Exactly, I'm not sure why people just assume that Moore is calling pass plays and Dak is somehow just following orders and not changing the play at the line.

Dak has been shown to switch out of running plays to passing plays....perhaps because his ego needs to show everyone he is 'elite'.....well he isn't and until Jerry gets it into Dak's head to run the play called (sorry but Dak isn't good enough to read defenses well enough to audible)....but that will never happen so we will continue to watch Dak do what he does.

Dak or any quarterback for that matter not named Mahomes shouldn't throw the ball more then 30 times a game. Most quarterbacks who throws 40 plus usually loses. I think 25 to 30 is perfect. But that does depend on your defense. They giving the opponent 30 or more. Throws will increase significantly.

Because they'd rather falsely believe that Dak is a mistake free player.

Name one q.b. that is mistake free on Sunday, Monday or Thursday. You guys are putting Saint hood on Dak. Get real! And don't say Cooper Rush. When he had to throw it to win. He quickly became a comedy of errors. And just because your offense coughs up the ball doesn't give the defense a free pass to quit.

Funny how people are quick to blame Lamb and Schultz for Dak's INT's yet when one of Rush's INT's against Philly was because Lamb ran off the route for fear of being hit most blamed Rush.....the hypocrisy is putrid.

I reason for that pick in the endzone. There was so many defenders standing there. He should have taken off with it and got what he could or threw it away. Your in the red zone.
Actually, I think he should have thrown it to Pollard in the right corner of the end zone.

We ran the ball but again it didn’t seem like a priority. Once again Moore and the staff got away from the formula. They think certain teams we have to go after them with deeper passes instead of working up to it by running and short passes and then play action later for deeper passes.

Like the last games we lost. We will come out and run with authority and finish the game eating up the clock with it.

Our Defense has to stop the run. Stop the run and you can go after the qb. We should have sold out to the run. Was just a bad game from the Defense.

Moore needs to quit the cute stuff. Both picks were major back breakers. Blame the WR for not crossing the face of defender but Dak should have seen this. That pick in the endzone was a terrible idea. He should have taken off with it or threw it away. To many people around the ball.

Either way this next game will be and the rest of these games should be done with the same formula. It works. And just sell out to the run on Defense.
we ran it like 25+ times you have to throw it on occasion, lets say STOP getting penalties that take nice RUNS and positive plays back and then you are behind the chins and sets up more passing calls. the game dictated the flow and the pass heavy slant on calls were how the defense on some occasion walked 9 guys in the box and dak checked out..it happens..

bet we call plays on how each game dictates it.

we lost that game on defense giving up 200 yards rushing, 3 tds to a rookie WR, and blew a 14 point lead in the 4th. sure let say iot was the offense and play calls. 28 points should have been enough if the defense doesn't give up 31.

No one expects Dak to be mistake free. However Dak's limitations become apparent anytime the team leans on him and his arm. That is when he is found wanting. The single best thing the Cowboys can do is get the ball out of Dak's hands as fast as possible with the run game and quick passes. Don't give him option of thinking through multiple reads because he doesn't seem to have the ability to process those as quickly as he needs to.

Especially needing to keep them off the field because we could not stop there run.

Problem was we needed to lean on our Defense. They ran all over us. I am not sure if teams have figured something out that’s more than just we can’t consistently stop the run.

I am still in shock that we couldn’t make adjustments and stop them. We could get a pass rush. But we start playing the run, and could not stop it then. Bye week hurt us. Lol.

Exactly!

Run, run, and then pass to run some more.

The thing is, you pass when they expect you to run, and you run when they expect you to pass.

It's more than just that. It's run the right play against the right defense. Sometimes the Cowboys get okie-doked into audibling to a pass by the look the defense shows.. Then after the defense sees them shift into a passing set they drop back into coverage. They used to do it to Romo so often I wanted to kick my TV. Romo eventually got to where he wouldn't fall for it.. starting at the end of 2013. In about his 10th year in the league. Here's hoping Dak arrives at that point a little sooner.
