Better defense. Current vs mid 90s Cowboys?

How can we possibly know?

The season is only five games old.

The 90's defense went to four consecutive NFC championship games. This defense has won four consecutive games. It may take a little longer before we can determine if this current defense even belongs in the same sentence with the 90;s defense.

Have to disagree on the lonesome fearsome pass rusher. Jeffcoat had 10.5 sacks and Tolbert had 8 in 92. Those guys definitely brought the heat.
And that's not even mentioning great interior disruption by Casillas, Jimmie Jones, and Leon Lett. That DLine was stacked.

This group probably has the better player in 11, but those D's were top ranked in the NFL and had many weapons

I do like the quality depth this defense currently have. There is not much of a dropoff - and Damone Clark is coming.

This is by far the best pass rush of any defense I have seen. How they hold up against the run is yet to be seen.

The 90's D's could stop the run.

don't think the d played that bad, but that was kind of the same offense the rams ran a couple years back when they beat us. All that read option stuff, run the ball. Couldn't stop it.
