Better move? T.O. to Dallas or Moss to N.E.?

Nope.

But I bet money right now if you lined up TO and Moss and made them run a 40...Moss would win.

His ability did not diminish in Oakland...his heart did in that cesspool.

Plus...I don't care too much about NE, I do the Cowboys and I think I have been on record as never wanting TO here in the first place.

You're 100% incorrect.

If you made them both run a 40, Owens wins handily.

Moss is still much faster but you can't make him do anything with full effort. The only way to get him to run 40 yards is on his terms, not yours.

Now Owens may turn his 40 into a spectacle, calling you out, calling out the surface he has to run on... but at least he show up and run hard.

When NE wins the SB this year - you'll have your answer.

Book it.

******, the title wasn't very clear. I thought it was asking who was a better acquistion, not who is the better player. I'll reply to both. :shrugs:

I'm on the fence as far as who is better, we haven't really seen the full potential of both players at this point in time. Moss has been lacking motivation (can't really blame him) and T.O. was playing with a injured finger for the most part of the season.

As far as the better acquisition, the Pats win this one. For one, they signed him to a 1-year/$3 million contract (a third of what he was getting in Oakland); I'd say that's a bargain. Sure they had to give up a 4th round pick, but their squad is already stacked at every position, with the exception of ILB. If Moss doesn't live up to his full potential, they lose out on very little, they still have Stallworth, Welker, Kelley Washington, Chad Jackson, Caldwell, Gaffney, and a couple others.

On the other hand, the Cowboys owe T.O. a cool $25 million over 3 years, so the edge goes to the Patriots as far as getting bang for their buck.

Mods: can we make this a poll?

Positives:

T.O. has ability to break game open via YAC and/or Homerun.

Moss: more of a homerun hitter.

Negatives:

T.O. can talk too much at times.

Moss:
Quits on teams.
This would have been a good question BEFORE TO came to Dallas.

TO, more of a team player IMO, than Moss. Moss too selfish from a selfish standpoint. Not from a competitive and compasion for the game and winning, as where TO is.

I have to say Terrell Owens because he's going to give you more productivity than Moss.

Moss to NE..Moss will be about football...TO will continue to be about everything else but football...it's almost as if he is trying to parlay his fame into some type of Hollywood career

And we have a winner.

That's my answer too. Whoever takes his team to the big dance is the better acquisition.

Heck, I would have given both our 4th rounders to get Moss, even with the circus that would have happened, lol.

They are just totally different WRs, too hard to compare. Depends on what a team needs really, TO is a better fit for this team with Glenn on it. Imagine how many tickets Jerry could have sold if he had both TO and Moss on his roster, lol.

Moss hasn't done anything in years. He is not the same WR he used to be.

Which I can most definitely attest to since I was stupid enough to have him on my fantasy football roster over the last two seasons.:
