has anyone tried this betting strategy for futures bets where you put $10 on each of the top 10 teams to win the Super Bowl. If any one of the top 10 teams (or even 20 if you want to go there) that are favored to win the super bowl actually wins, you come out significantly ahead. For example is Phily wins the super bowl you win $550 cause the odds are +550 (minus $100 you bet on all ten teams will net $450). Or if the tenth most favored team which is baltimore or the jets or vikings (etc. they all have about equal odds at +2000) wins the super bowl, you win $2000 (minus $100 you bet on all teams).

so anyone tried this... it seems too obvious and too easy that it just wouldnt be allowed doing this way

any thoughts

p.s. I bet $100 on dallas to win the division and the odds are +500 (win $500). It's easier just competing with philadelphia basically and they seem about to go into disarray.

You've misunderstood something somewhere. No one pays 55:1 or 200:1 for one of the top 10 teams. There are only 32 teams. Think about it.

i didnt see the odds but any time you see a + or - followed by a 3 digit number that is generally based on 100 dollars, not ten.

I used to do really well in baseball cause i followed it enough to know pitchers (which is who your really betting on) but i didnt have a favorite baseball team, i didnt even watch the games. so i never bet with my heart, just looked at any matchup where a good pitcher was playing a bad team and put up whatever i needed to to win 100 on that game. (usually you had to put up 150 to win 100, but id hit 8 out of 10 times).

Then id get crushed during football season, cause id be baised by teams i liked... plus in baseball its just a money line, no point spread.

Though i am going to put money on dallas to win the division, i just dont know what betting service im going to use yet. Anyone have an online betting service they like ?

yea I was basing it erroneoulsy off of $10 but I did based it on $100 for the cowboys winning the division. I think that's a decent bet considering mostly Philadelphia is the main competitor and dallas almost defeated them in Philly last year too.

btw canada person you should take down your flag what a shame... you are probably the only one to display your flag in a cowboy forum

pps the betting for futures bets like dallas winning the divi. closes on Aug 13 but for Dallas winning the super bowl it closes I think when the season starts if you even want to go there lol

p.s. I use bet365.com. I'm not a big time gambler and bet365 is rated high among the hundreds of sites reviewed. This is the link http://www.sportsbookreview.com/ for the reviews. It's a nice site and easy to use and also customer service was easy to get to when I needed some assistance. But beware you cannot bet big as there is limits for each bet. Also withdrawal of more than once every month, if I recall right, there will be a service fee. But all otherwise all things are good.
