You might think this thread is a debate between Aikman v. Romo. However, that's not the point of this thread. The question is who was your favorite quarterback was, after Aikman retired and before Romo began as the starter?

Mine would have to be Randall Cunningham, but I'll post why later.

Did we have any QB between those two?......
I'll say Testaverde if I had to pick one.

Favorite would have to be Quincy. Obviously quite wrong about him, but at least his screwup kept Romo on the team in a year that he might have gotten the axe (Testaverde, Henson, Romo, Carter).

The guy had some promise- physical gifts, definitely. But on the field his impulse plays just never turned out well and his accuracy was never going to be that of an upper-echelon NFL QB.

Jerry and the coaches could never win with him. Bring in competition and he got paranoid. Let him be the clear starter and he got complacent.

I agree, I liked Quincy. He had a quite a few memorable games, like the comeback win against the Panthers, the win against the Giants, and the TD to Rocket Ismail that sealed the game with the Commanders.

Quincy Carter.

I'll never forget the 10-6 season after being 5-11 three seasons in a row.

That year QC was still inconsistent but it seemed like he was getting it and could possibly get the job done as long as they limited what he was doing.

Everybody else was a bust, a joke, or a a Parcells guy who didn't need to be playing in the league anymore. I don't see how the answer could be anyone else logically speaking... I remember a lot of frustrating Sundays during that dark period of time.

I think Randall had such a smooth delivery it was amazing. Looked effortless in throwing the ball yet it would sail. Almost like Griffey Jr's swing.......just too smooth to touch.

If I had to pick, I'd go Bledsoe considering he was the best of that smelly bunch.
