He's gotta get better knee bend...and stay low in pass protection....first thing he's been doing is popping his head up...bending @ the waist and letting the defender get into his chest....and not using his hands properly. Gotta give him some credit though for when he does get beat....he's still able to recoup...and fight his way out of it...to keep it a stalemate. Sometimes I think there might be communication errors going on....he's thinking he getting help....or there is a missed assignment. People gotta remember...he's still young....there are gonna be some growing pains. I just wanna see him stay healthy and get through 17 games...that would be a huge plus.
Yep, thinks he is getting help, which he was and Williams disengages.

Don't know if I'll be able to do the whole game, but here's the first drive:

1st-and-10 Hargrave tries to go around Biadasz on his right and Biadasz pushes him into Martin to create a nice lane and pocket. Dak throws 8 yards to Schultz. (BTW, Williams did a really good job of anchoring one-on-one against Cox to keep from being driven back.)

2nd-and-2 Hargrave is playing the gap between Biadasz and Williams. They double him with Biadasz firing off to pin him to the left around the line of scrimmage. Hargrave sheds to make the tackle on Elliott after he runs through the lane to get the first down and 5 yards. (Martin and Steele's double destroyed Cox, turning him around and driving him out of the play.)

1st-and-10 Hargrave gives Biadasz a good initial jolt, but Biadasz drives him to his left and into the pileup there with Williams and Smith. Steele gets beaten when Barnett spins back to the inside, but Dak dumps it over the middle while getting hit to Elliott for 7 yards.

2nd-and-3 Biadasz fires off the ball to his right to push Cox over to Martin and they pin him out of the play to create a lane for Elliott to run up the middle for 10 yards. (Williams did enough to keep Hargrave from being able to make the play, although he did get a hand on Elliott, and McGovern as the fullback cleared the linebacker out of the hole.)

1st-and-10 Biadasz had no one to block, so stayed on the pivot just in case. Martin completely stymied Hargrave and Williams did a good job driving Cox to his left creating a great pocket for Prescott, who threw a bomb to Lamb at the 1. (We gave Steele double-team help with the tight end, and we score there with a better throw because Lamb was wide-open but had to stop and wait for it.)

1st-and-goal Biadasz stood up the nose tackle as Elliott scored up the middle. Elliott barely made it in, though, because a DT initially beat Smith's reach block to the inside and Smith drove him into Martin who was trying to pull on the run behind right guard and take out a linebacker. Sprinkle and McGovern also failed to get movement in front of Elliott so he had to power through the initial hit near the goal line and get in with second effort. McGovern did end up pushing his man back and Martin helped to keep the defensive line from being able to finish off Elliott. The linebackers and DBs couldn't keep him out.

If I get a chance I'll just add the next drive to this thread. Hope you enjoy these details that show Biadasz had a very good first drive. Philly wasn't playing either DT straight up over him at this point, though.
greatly appreciate your efforts and it does ease the mind abit about badazs

Third drive:

1st-and-10 Hargrave again lines up directly over Biadasz gaining a little penetration and forcing Elliott to bounce to his left a bit. Smith had a reach block and held up his man well enough when he tried to move to the outside. Williams let the linebacker on the second level get around him to the outside and Schultz was thrown downfield by the defensive end to limit Elliott to 4 yards.

2nd-and-6 Hargrave directly over Biadasz again, but Biadasz anchors to keep him from driving and Martin then gives and assist as the pocket stays clean for a 7-yard out to Cooper.

1st-and-10 Biadasz pushes Hargrave to his right and into Martin as the run goes left between the guard and tackle for 8 yards. (Cox went to the inside, which helped Williams to just push him that way enough that he wasn't a factor.)

2nd-and-2 Biadasz fires to his left into Cox to keep him pinned to that side and receives a little chuck help from Smith since Williams is pulling to lead block (and does a decent job of it as Elliott gets 4 and Eagles have too many men on the field).

1st-and-10 Biadasz stands Hargrave up and keeps him in place as Pollard goes around the right side for 11 yards. (Really good job by Steele and Martin on the double, then second level and Wilson provides a nice block for Pollard to cut around.)

1st-and-10 Biadasz stops Hargrave from getting any penetration one-on-one on a quick throw by Dak that results in pass interference.

1st-and-10 Biadasz again stops Hargrave's charge with Martin waiting to assist him before pivoting to help Steele. Good deep throw but dropped by Schultz when he's hit by Epps. (Nice pocket to step up into for Prescott as Williams also didn't allow much push by Cox.)

2nd-and-10 Biadasz immediately goes to the second level and walls off a linebacker to the outside on a run up the middle by Pollard for 7 yards. (Good job by Martin, Williams and Steele to create a crease behind right guard.)

3rd-and-3 Biadasz pretty much stops 95 in place on a quick throw to Jarwin for 8 yards and a facemask.

1st-and-goal Biadasz helps push 98 to his left but Lamb doesn't get a good block, forcing Elliott to just plow into the DB for 5 yards.

2nd-and-goal Biadasz gets pushed back a couple of yards by Hargrave, but we're running a reverse that goes nowhere to Lamb. (The DE going against Williams got enough penetration to force Lamb wider than he probably would have gone.)

3rd-and-goal Hargrave gets some push against Biadasz but not enough to come close to affecting the quick throw to Elliott, who comes up just short of the TD.

4th-and-goal On the attempted sneak by Dak, Biadasz gets submarined and a linebacker comes over the top to keep Prescott from initially reaching the goal line. Barnett then gets inside of Schultz's block to grab Prescott, who fights free and reaches the ball toward the goal line. It certainly appeared to be a TD on the second effort if the officials didn't rule that his forward momentum was stopped. If Schultz could have kept Barnett at bay for a second longer, Dak would have definitely scored since a linebacker holding his lower body was all that was between him and the end zone.

That was a long drive and is all from me for the night.

But feel free to send me some tape on farniok. I’m always interested in our good young players.
Here you go...

Last Preseason game 2021. Cowboys vs Jaguars.

Matt Farniok #68 starts and plays at Center all game. Watch closely. Farniok doesn't get beat or pushed back 5+ yards in pass protection. Remember, the Jaguars played their starters the whole 1st Half and some into the 3rd quarter.

Not seeing it. Watched the first two drives of the Jags game and he was getting pushed back. And those guys arent the best DT's in football. At some point you saw a play or something and made up your mind on Biadasz. The wrong analysis and that was it.

Biadasz is a great young center and isnt going anywhere as the starter unless he gets hurt.

Where was Farniok pushed back, especially during the first two drives? By backups? That was against the Jaguars starters. Now you are being untruthful. Just like I thought, even with video proof, you misconstrue the facts and are in denial. Biadisz has been getting beat in pass protection and pushed 7-8 yards into the QB in almost every game he has started dating back to last season. Even in training camp he was getting beat in 1-on-1s, but go ahead and keep your head in the sand. Just watch as he keeps getting beat in pass protection as the season goes on.

its what his 6th start 7th? he lost his rookie year too injury now seeing soem top DTs week after week..at least 99% of his snaps are good that the first priority of center now hes got to be able to react quicker into his block..

hes not bad the fact we had the best is hard to now see players who learning on the job..

tfreds gone, let it go..looney was not perfect so lets stop acting as if he was..

Our OL as whole has done a lot better and we are missing LC...people tore steele a new one all last year, all PS , and said he was giant mistake to be used as LC replacement

egg on anyone faces yet?

lets let TB has sometime.

he snot going to be replaced..

Im more concerned of Cwills 3 huge penalties, that ahs to stop..not his overall play i like 52 but if he cant stop holding and allowing his technique to get off where he has to hold, McGovern is going to take his job , NOT Tylers..

this week not easier that for sure..another active big dkl coming..:)

He's playing against some stacked interiors. I think the situation is clear. McGovern would be better physically but Biadasz is really great on the line calls. He's a 4th round pick. It'll take about a season of games for him to perfect technique.
Yup look at steele..

Farniok was very impressive in preseason.

Did he play center in college? Thought he was a guard.

I agree that Biadasz struggled a bit Monday, but let's keep in mind that Hargrave and Cox are pretty good.

I rewatched the LA game, once watching Biadasz only. One play aside, he had an excellent game, especially run blocking.

I'm not saying I didn't see exactly what you did Monday, but let's give him a little more time before we go handing the job to a 7th round rookie.

Besides, that "best five" thing is only lip service, as McGovern is clearly better than Williams....so it's going to take quite a bit for Biadasz to lose his job.....right/wrong notwithstanding.

They are all 10 times better than Clay Shiver, so there's that as well.

Sorry if I made anyone puke up breakfast with that reference lol.

Sorry, not seeing it. Looks like a late round pick.

Training camp getting beat 1 on 1's? LOL

LOL..........now I know you are looking for anything. What did he do date your mother and drop her off after Burger King?

But I have no doubt that if he gets beat once or twice in pass protection per game you are going to rave about it. NO doubt at all.

Two plays, thats it. That isnt struggling. He was a monster in the run game and held his own.

The fumble TD was more about Williams disengaging.

He’s had probably the toughest road of any center in the league the first 3 weeks

Week 1 - (No Martin) Vea, Suh
Week 2 - Joseph, Tillery
Week 3 - Hargraves, Cox

Yea, I'm cutting him some slight........tough 3 games any center, including All-Pros

Oh Cmon buddy, just kidding around. You are the one getting disrespectful now.

You gave me the videos and it showed that Farniok has a long way to go. Jags DT's in preseason arent Vea and Cox.

Good thread with great play by play...Kids got some ability...I need the 1v1 up the middle bull rushed fixed..its the single most distructive pressure a D can get on a pass play. OG help McGovern at the FB position , motion a TE over..I really dont care...do not leave that center 1v1 vs top tier DT's on a pass play out our endzone again.

These coaches need to toughen up. If Biad. Needs help on nearly every play or he gets pushed back then try Fairnok. If it doesn't work just change the lineup again. And stop being afraid of hurting someones feelings. Same with steel right now he is doing ok, leave him at starter untill Collins earns it back if he does at all. Play the best guys and be done, your 40 million dollar QB coming off leg injury kinda deserves the best OL around him.

I was glad that we got Nsekhe (a proven backup) because I didn't want us to just entrust the role to Steele based off a shaky first season. Considering that Nsekhe has nothing for us, I'm glad that Steele is stepping up and not only looking like a good backup option, but possible starting option. I think it's still a little early to consider him a success, but it's looking good after a couple of starts this year.

In the first three drives I've rewatched so far, the only mistake by him I've really noticed is allowed Barnett to spin back to the inside and get to Prescott.
