Big Ben is injury prone.

You think his fan base will react the same as ours did about Romo?

There definitely is less optimism post-surgery than there was beforehand about a quick recovery for Big Ben. We'll see.

I haven't been paying attention. Did they find more damage than expected when they scoped it? They first said they were just going to clean it out. If it's a decent tear he'll be out a while.....

I've never understood that logic.

If Big Ben being gone improves the chances of winning the game, I want him gone. It's about wins and losses, period. Who cares if they are at their best or not?

Nobody cared when Romo was hurt last year. They just loved beating us. As it should be.

I think there's a big advantage when you play them in the regular season. Pittsburgh might be a team we potentially can see in the playoffs. We're going to have zero tape on Big Ben on what he liked to do against our defense. I always prefer to play teams at their best, it's a good measuring stick

Only way we'd see Pittsburgh in the playoffs would be the Superbowl and I seriously doubt anyone is going to deny the Patriots in the AFC of that unfortunately.

I'm sure "Dr." Jerry Jones would say that Ben is day to day, it's just a question of pain tolerance and could probably suit up this Sunday.

Steelers won't be a pushover without Ben. 1. The game is in Pitt. 2.Theyll try to run over us and teams have had success running on us. 3. They'll be in an underdog mindframe. I'm not penciling that as a W.

tell that to aaron rodgers who had 16 guy on the IR when he won a super bowl. great players find ways to win. fans dont make excuses for them.
It's fascinating how often winning accolades are solely isolated to individual athletes in a team sports. 1 against 11 in football. 1 against 5 in basketball. 1 against 9 in baseball. Wait. Baseball is a one batter versus 9. Maybe... Nope. Three outs an inning per team. Same thing. Wild.

Why do you care about excuses? I'd rather play them without him as it gives us an advantage. A clear no brainer. A win is a win. Who cares what everyone else says.
I'm just in a place right now where I feel we can beat anyone, anywhere, anytime. I might be suffering from a little bit of irrational exuberance, I admit. I don't want to hear the likes of Marshall Faulk or McNabb saying oh well Big Ben didn't play. Now, why do I care what they say? That's like asking why do I care if we win or lose, it's just a game. When I emotionally invest in my team I'm all about it. I watch pregame, postgame, etc,. So what gets said I do care about to a degree.

Also, We could face Ben in the Super Bowl, you never know. I'd like our defense to get a look at him and yes, kick his butt. Beating XYZ backup just isn't as sexy. So I stand by my statement that I want Ben to play so we don't have to hear excuses when we kick their butts. It's just like if we were playing the Patriots. I want Brady in there when we win.

Now, if I knew for a fact that Ben would beat us, then yes I hope a backup plays instead, I admit that as well.

If you start breaking down our schedule where are our losses coming from?

We just surpassed 2 test.

Against the Eagles? Steelers don't look invincible without Ben.

Vikings in Dec. up there might be only one we'd pencil in.

Of course our divisional games usually a test but that might be it.

Whose afraid of Tampa, Lions at home or even the Ravens on the road.

I'm not sure where we'll flounder . I'm certainly not promoting we'll go15-1 but it's looking like we have a shot at competing for a 1st round bye. We are afterall currently the 2nd seed.

Well if anyone says anything, just remind them our starting QB is out too and nobody cared last season when Romo went down. Nobody gave the other teams half points since we were missing our starters.. I don't feel sorry for them at all.
Very true point.

Nice picture.
