RB1: The most complete back in the league. Excels at every phase. Run, block, catch.. You name it. Works incredibly hard between the tackles and wears defenses down. Continuing to place himself in rarified air. Six 100 plus games to start a season. Only Jim Brown has done it. Everyone likes to use the improved oline to support their hatred against Demarco but I find it funny how no one has touched Jim Brown's season opening record in many many many years. Do you mean to tell me there haven't been any good rb/oline combos since Jim Brown? Get the out of here with that mess.
RB2: Great change of pace for our starter. More shifty and explosive but isn't going to do what Demarco does between the tackles. Gaining more and more confidence with every carry. Should work very well in using his 6 to 8 carries a game to spell Demarco nicely and keep the offensive game plan on track.
RB3: Is the quintessential scatback. Caught 4 passes for 48 yards yesterday. Third best in yards per catch. Is a great option on third downs as that safety valve out of the backfield. Reminds me of a Shady McCoy type when he gets into the open field. IMO is better when the ball is thrown to him vs handed off.
Opposing DCs now have to plan for all three because Linehan is doing an incredible job working them all into the rotation while still getting Demarco his work. Running back has been a problem for as many years as I can remember since the Emmitt days. Why would we even consider the possibility of making it an issue again? It just doesn't make good sense in a world where Jerry is making better sensible decisions nowadays. As sure as my name is bleu, Demarco will be resigned and this running back group will continue to give defensive coordinators fits for the next several years.
