Similar to how Austin was able to ascend because of the injury to Roy Williams, let's see what players like Williams, Beasley, and Harris can do.

Very excited to see Beasley in the slot.

And of course let's not forget our tight ends.

I think Harris is out too...which worries me.
We may need a lot of the run game, or we may see a lot of 12 finally.

What if Williams has a break out game close, or similar to that of Austin in 09?

He will get that chance with 1on1 match ups.

What gives me hope is the way he went up to get that ball over the 6-2 or 6-3 Sean Smith vs kansas

A great game by Williams only serves as a great confidence booster for him, and may turn him into another deadly weapon. after 1 game for Austin, he became unstoppable.

Worst case scenario, I at least hope for an LR type performance

If we can get a hundred yards from Beasley, Williams, and Harris together, I think it would be great.

That's not true.

That one game was the result of years in the system and learning and playing.

What he did in 09 he should have done in 08 but he was injured and once Williams was brought in didn't get the opportunity.

Williams is a rookie coming from one of those bush league spread offenses.

Rookies step up all the time. Will he be perfect? No. That doesn't mean he can't contribute greatly to this offense.

Of course he can and he has but he is not taking Austin's spot on the team anytime soon. Right now he is a guy who plays outside and has not been asked to do very much yet it appears.

People are being ignorant about what Austin does here and how much he has done.

I just don't know if its intentional or if they are just truly this misinformed.

Williams is now going to have to show he can be our permanent #2. Austin will be gone next year. Never been big on beasley but I wanna see what he can do.

Idk who these people you talk of

But since you quoted my last post, I'll make it clear that I was just saying that if Williams came in and had a game like austin, that would be great for him. Not that he will put Austin to the bench, it would just make him another deadly weapon. No one is expecting this, but it would be great, No?

Austin is one of my fav players

I think you are getting a bit excited and stressed for no reason

Harris already said he was playing.

Im looking forward to seeing Escobar getting more involved, see saw a little bit of it last week with him being split out wide vs the Rams.

I don't really expect much from amy of them, just hope they are mistake free. If Dez/Jason/Demarco have good days they shouldn't have to do too much.

If it was up to me, very early in the game I would go deep to 83. I think they will roll coverage to Dez and drop a safety in the box for the run until we prove the other WR can make a play. I would show them early, we aren't afraid to go that way if that is how they wish to play.

I hoping for a look or two towards Hanna. Just see his size/ speed ratio as too enticing to ignore forever....

As am I. I've said it before I think Beasley has the quickness to get open almost right off the line whereas the other WRs don't. Harris maybe a bit but the other WRs are bigger guys who need to build up a couple strides.

A lot of people think this was the reason TWill was drafted. I hope he has a big game so we can see how fast Austin's hammy heals up and he gets back on the field.
