Look, I hate to say a game in the 2nd week of the season is a big game, but winning this game on SUnday could set this team up for a very good and important start... First, 2 road wims to start the season ( regardless of opponents ) are huge.. Second, we play the Bucs at home on week 3 and we have a very good shot of starting the season 3-0... IM not punching my Cowboys SUper Bowl ticket, trust me, but playing in Seattle isnt that easy... I can see it causing havoc on our O line and us taking a ton of penalities... Seattle D is not horrible... Im sure we are the better team, but by no means is this game a lock... WE have to focus and do the little things successfully and we should win the game...

So starting off 2-0 would be great... WE have the Bucs and Bears the next 2 games.. 3-1 would be a great start. 4-0 would be a bonus.. lets take 1 game at a time... THis Seattle game to me is important.. It would be nice to win the game... Even if we win the game, we still have a logn way to go, its a long season... But it would be nice for a change to get off to a nice start

A loss to Seattle would make the Giants win almost meaningless.

This is a win, we must get.

With Washington and Philly winning, and most likely, Philly loses this week. We have to win.

I feel we will beat them.....

So I'm not worried. It just won't be a cake walk

No it wouldn't. We'd be 1-1 instead of 0-2 plus it was a divisional win which is almost an additional half-win.

If the team is going to take that next step then this is the type of game we need to win.

Agree with this. We need to put the Seahawks away and we need to put them away early. Ideally the boys can go up by more than one score going into the 4th quarter as we don't want to give their crowd or team any life.

Yep, you're right. If we lose this one it will be the "same 'ol Cowboys."

It won't mean we can't win the Division or make the playoffs, .. but it will be just like the stuff we have done in the past.

We need to make a "Statement in Seattle" to let the League know things have changed in Dallas.

I was just reading that Vegas has.........

Cowboys only favored by three vs Seahawks.

Im not a betting person, but that sounds like one to bet on the Cowboys.

I can add. LOL

Wins and losses are only half the story. There's a tremendous amount of psychology that goes with a win-loss record. Last year we won 8 games, but only 1 of them came against a team worth a crap. If we played this year's schedule last year, it would have been more like 5-11 or 4-12.

A loss to Seattle would damage the teams psyche and have it questioning itself. The momentum and good vibe would be gone in a flash.

Seattle has one of the biggest home-field advantages in the league.

But I think Dallas wins this pretty comfortably.

What is Seattle's home record lately? I keep hearing what an advantage they have, but do they really?

Not sure what it is, but I know what you mean. And hasn't Romo played well in Seattle, except one non QB play....people always remember that play, not how well he played at QB though.

It will be no cake walk, but I think we'll be fine.

I think the we're undefeated at home last year.

Cool....

Just like all Defending SB champions were undefeated 1st game of the season. I like it.

I agree with you completely, as long as by "tremendous amount" you meant "virtually none".

Last year, we got stomped by the Eagles and dropped to 3-4. Psychologically devastated from that, we went on to win 4 in a row. Riding high at that point, we dropped a stinker to Arizona.

In the end, our 8-8 record reflected our talent level, our schedule and a few lucky bounces here and there. I know people love to talk about momentum and psychology and create a storyline out of the season, but generally, there's very little to that. (Not always - I think the '10 team really did quit on Wade, for instance). Talent, game plans & individual matchups, quality of opponents and a bit of luck - that's what determines outcomes.
