Big games Dallas has played in this year

I'm looking at the big games we've played in over the course of this year. It seems to me that is the best predictor for how we will do in the playoffs.

I think you have to look at the games that were big games at the time

NY Giants at Home Won 45-35

At Chicago Won 34-10

New England Lost 48-27

at Philadelphia Won 38-17

at NY Giants Won 31-20

Green Bay at Home Won 37-27

We're 5-1 in those big games and in all of those games our offense was elite. I would expect us to play the same way in the playoffs. That's not to say we're unbeatable, but we've got a pretty good team. When something has been on the line, we've been an excellent team. The only team in the league clearly better is New England and with a good defensive effort IMO we would have a chance against them.

:D Glad you didn't say yesterday was a Big game. That's how people are acting, even though everyone was saying that we would rest, and that we'd probably lose.

Good thing we didn't have any big games the last month.

I would consider the Panthers game a big game also.

We have to win that one to keep ahead of Green Bay for the No. 1 seed.

If we didn't win that one, we don't get the top seed.

Are these in order? You have the NE game in the middle, this was the score in week 21..

Good point. I debated putting that one in as well. And if you include that one, our offense played well while TO was in and we gutted out a win on the road against a team that was actually playing pretty good football.

Yeah, if you listen to a lot of folks, they seem to be acting as if Dallas lost a big showdown game yesterday. Come on people. Had Dallas gameplanned and went all out to win the game, it would not have even kept the Commanders out of the playoffs. Wade mentioned that possibility in a press conference last week. They wanted to show the Commanders as little as possible because they knew the Skins would probably make the postseason anyway as the 6th seed and be a possible playoff opponent. This game did not matter, but if we see them again it will.

Yesterday's game was far from an important game...hell..every passing play was one used earlier in the season and every run was basic.

Defensively we ran a vanilla 3-4. Basic blitzes and coverages with minimal disguiseing of plays. We also very rarely saw Roy in the box and Ware line up opposite the RT of the Commanders who was a rookie.

Look at what Ware did against Samuels. He is a Pro Bowl LT and got beat several times and Ware got 2 FF as well.

Yesterday was about people trying to get individual records. Romo got his. The Barbarian didn't get his 1000 yards. I'm assuming that JW didn't achive his goal either. That was the only reason that Romo still was in.

Must make you feel good Bach ...... knowing you sound like a Commander troll.

That Green Bay game was as close to a playoff atmosphere as you'll find in the regular season, and we made Favre wish he was back fishing in Mississippi.

Yep, that was the major difference between this year and alot of the seasons under Bill Parcells.

I will throw one caveat out there and that is we had a healthy Terrell Owens on those games.

Hopefully #81 will emerge from his hidden chamber and ready go in 2 weeks.

yea, you do. Just curious, why isn't the 2nd eagles game? a big game.

You were fighting for home field advantage.

Every game in the NFL is big. Your 13-3 in big games.

Simple, we could afford to lose the game.

The Cowboys did have a big game - Carolina - in which they racked up 400 yards total offense and sacked Matt Moore five times. And most importantly, they won the game.

What else could anyone possibly want? Are the Cowboys supposed to beat every team by 21 points?
