Anyone else notice in the 4th quarter against Philly that Big Mac had the playsheet in his hands and (appeared to be) calling plays? Idk if i've just been unaware or what, but I dont recall ever seeing that before. If he is callling/helping/checking some of Kellen's atrocious play calling though, methinks thats a huge positive.

McCarthy always has play sheet in his hands nothing new about it

that was the McDonalds delivery menu not the play sheet

He always has the play sheet and he is or at least should be talking to the OC and DC regarding what they are doing. The HC has veto power over any call at any time. So all those crazy reverses that everyone likes to jump on Moore about, they were all approved by the HC and maybe even instructed to be run by the HC. The HC (unless he is the play caller too) will not typically say run this specfic play. He will say, let's run here or lets go for the kill here etc.

Hes had the sheet all year and watching closely each play to see what's being called but calling them, not sure we can know that for sure. hes been monitoring KM this year more so than the 1st 2 years, hes definitely staying on top of it,.

this years hes much more in tune each play hes picked it up located the play and seems to be monitoring it more than the 1st 2 years, i noticed this he hardly referenced that sheet the first 2 years it larger and hes been into it as if he is calling plays. even if hes not , he for sure is paying more attention.

Anyone else curious about how Turpin would look actually catching a pass in space? Why can’t this OC make it happen? Dude is lethal with his speed

wait for it.. Playoff wrinkles are coming. why show them now.. lots of plays that were run once during the season and were successful get on special go back to later sheet. and some they are saving. not sure you noticed but the offense has been clicking and moving the ball and scoring, no need to show too many wrinkles or special plays. IF KM and MM are smart, they have accumulated many for moments in the playoffs.

He oversees the offense. He said he would be doing that this season after the WC game loss.

I can't even recall how many camera shots I've seen of him this season, looking aloof, with his arms folded and the sheet in his right hand. Happens every game.

I wonder why he even has a play sheet?
I thought KM called the plays.
Been a big disappointment to me that Mac is not running his offense here.
