Well guess we don't have to worry about Cleveland taking a DL in front of us in the 2nd.

Manziel was probably thinking... Hey I got a good TE to thrown to and a killer WR in Josh.

Oops... Better draft a WR now Browns.

Don't feel bad for that team as they knew he was a problem all a long. Do feel bad for the fans because they have suffered forever.

Marguise Lee, come on down?

Looks like we dodged a bullet.

Despite all the red flags, we put in a third round bid for Gordon. Cleveland put up a second.

I find it funny that an organization that takes money from the alcohol industry suspends a guy for doing this. That said Gordon doesn't seem like the brightest star in the sky.

Profound.
True.
Sad.

Weren't the Browns trying to trade Gordon last year at some point?

And this is why there was no takers despite Gordon's incredible ability. It was widely known he already had two strikes.

Ya, some drugs are okay by NFL standards, others not.

And the NFL makes it clear which ones aren't, so it really is poor judgment by any player getting busted. I think it is silly to demonize marijuana use, but until things change you have to do things a little differently. Especially a player like Gordon who already had trouble in college and in the NFL. I do think the NFL will eventually change their approach to pot, but Gordon will need to change his life before that happens or he will find himself out of the league.

Browns wide receiver Nate Burleson broke his left arm again according to Chris Mortenson of ESPN. I guess none of the receivers want to play with Manziel.

I don't know, as 2nd round pick he's been pretty good. Not like he's expensive., just don't give him the big 2nd contract.

Can everyone who thumped their chest, claiming we should've traded for him, please come back to thump their chest again?

I don't know about you guys, but a season long suspension for a 2nd charge is pretty darn harsh. I personally hope he doesn't receive a season long ban, he was really fun to watch last year, though with that said he's such an idiot for letting something so trivial potentially ruin his NFL career.

And yes, I was hoping Dallas would've traded for him last year, it would've put us over the hump last year into the playoffs if we had him. He was easily a top 3 WR last year.

This is likely at least his third strike. According to the CBA, the first time you test positive, you enter the drug program anonymously. The second strike, you get suspended for 4 games. I don't know why he was suspended only 2 games, maybe because they counted a college transgression against him, but in their view, that was his second chance. And now he likely tested positive a third time.

And yes, I was hoping Dallas would've traded for him last year, it would've put us over the hump last year into the playoffs if we had him. He was easily a top 3 WR last year.

Would we have won the super bowl? If not, it would've been a huge mistake to give up a premium pick for a player about to be suspended for a season.

It isn't really his 2nd charge. He came into the league with 1 strike. He got suspended last season for his 2nd. Now he is on his 3rd. I suppose it is possible he gets a reduced suspension. He only got 2 games last year when it typically is a 4 game ban. It seems very likely that he will get in trouble again in the future.

When Marijuana is legalized it will still be business as usual for business. Most places will keep drug testing as grounds for hire, why, because of liability. Alcohol while legal I am sure they have policies against "intoxication" on the field.
