Yes— Dak looks great. Yes— Zeke and Pollard are looking dominant. The OL is playing excellent, and the D is playing fast, loose, and better than expected. But here are three key under-the-radar reasons we are winning games this year:

1. Fast starts. Clean, efficient football. This team plays it’s best ball with a lead.
2. Protecting the football. How many drives and games have we lost because of reckless play and untimely turnovers? This year— the team is playing smart and protecting the rock
3. Mindset and culture. There is leadership throughout the team, and they believe in themselves. Call it confidence, swag, or a “dawg” mentality— doesn’t matter. This team has more of it than they have had in a looooong time

Run the ball. Protect the ball. Play solid D. Have a clean, efficient passing attack. Do these things and you will win most of the time in the NFL.

I say the trenches - cant do much on O with-out the run blocking, it opens everything up.

If we cant run then yes Dak can throw it all over the place, put up points but, probably dont win as much. (not a knock on Dak)

On D - guys are playing much quicker and getting pressure on the QB.

Game has changed but imo its still all about the trenches.

Micah Parsons ability to pressure the QB is the #1 reason.

It’s causing turnovers and QBs know they have to get the ball out and when they do that they throw it right to Diggs who is usually guarding their primary WR.

Our offense scoring also allows Parsons to be able to just tee off on the QB and not have to worry about playing the run.

When Carolina had the threat of the run the game was different. When they had to play catch up Dallas exploded.

The best thing I've seen all season is the td pass to Schultz in the last game.

Wide, wide open. Other teams seem to be able to do that, we're used to seeing our receivers have to fight off defenders and make a great catch, nice to see us do that for a change...

Micah Parsons. I would go as far to suggest if he had been drafted last year Mike Nolan would still be employed.

Don’t forget COACHlNG.

I haven’t liked all Big Mike’s in game decisions, but I like his aggressiveness. I like his halftime adjustments. Our Coordinators are putting our players in position to make plays, consistently!

What or who do you credit with this. MM is the HC. Moore has been getting better every year. And seems like he is attacking other teams weaknesses. Our Defense is swarming and playing fast and hard. That safety hit this weekend was flagged when it shouldn’t be. But fired that Defense up. They are tackling solid. This scheme is our DC but the line coaches on both sides have them playing with focus. Focusing on the fundamentals. If our ST can improve just a bit more then we will be even better.

They are playing as a TEAM. Not individuals.

Can you say Kellon Moore!!

100% better than Garrett.

I think this is the development of Dak. He is reading the field and the game is slowing down for him. He is seeing that open guy that we were seeing in past years but Dak was not. And his passing so far this year seems more accurate.

Probably not because I doubt he'd have been as creative with his usage. Maybe I'm wrong though...

Great points…
We definitely seem more of a team this year with players who are enjoying playing the game.
Our OL being healthy is massive, last season it was a wreck.
Dak being better than ever is taking the O to an elite level and it’s perfectly complimented by a resurgent running game.
I know the turnovers and particularly the play of Diggs is what the defence is getting headlines for mainly, but the play of our DL with starters missing has been fantastic… first time for quite a while where we have a DL that is playing with speed and aggression.

Things look good through 4 games and all the reasons ive read here are plausible but since being snake bitten for the last 25 years I can’t help but think these threads might be foolhardy by the end of the season

Change in culture starts at the top and I don’t believe real change can happen just because Quinn has these guys getting turnovers. We are still getting gashed by offenses with below average defenses and 2nd string running backs

I hope that this essence of thread remains true deep into the playoffs......but I’m not chugging Pints of the Koolaid just yet.....just small shots of it

1. Starting fast is a product of all the things you mentioned initially. Not the other way around.

2. Health

3. Great draft, play makers on defense.

I tend to want to give credit to our head coach first and foremost, so I want to say thanks to big mike for putting the team in position for successes. He is doing an incredible job, is he perfect? no, but the job so far has been outstanding.. Shame on those whom judged him last year without an off season..
