Big School Sleeper at DT

I know it is hard to find a sleeper at a big time program, but Chris Whaley could be that guy. He is a former RB converted to DL and has played rather well this year. He had a pick 6 against the Sooners.

He is following in the footsteps of Henry Melton and Lamarr Houston.

I like his size, hard work, speed, and commitment to improving himself.

Right now he is rated as a late round/UDFA........if he is there in the 5th-7th, I would defenitely throw a pick at him. Look at what Marinelli did for Melton. I feel he could do the very same with Whaley.

As a diehard Longhorns fan, I watch every game and can tell you that he is really underrated, and I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up moving some after the combine with his size and speed at the DT position. Likely a 4th-5th rounder imo. He still needs some technique work but you can't teach that combination of size and athleticism.
