That's good in a way. If he does well, trust him more. If not, time for a new scout.

Not that it's necessarily related but Jeff Fisher's kid played at Montana for 4 years while he coached at Tenn. He used to attend quite a few games and stand on the down sidelines. He drafted a few kids from that conference and signed a few more as UDFAs he even hired former NFL safety Tim Hauck who was an assistant coach for his brother at Montana to his coaching staff in Tennessee. Prior to that it seems that conference got a lot less notice as far as the NFL draft was concerned. Interestingly it was Fisher who took Montana's Trumaine Johnson this year.

Miami has been hitting Montana pretty hard the last few years.

Dan Carpenter, Lex Hilliard, Jimmy Wilson.....I think Hilliard is a FA now, but the other two are on the team.

Marc Mariani is a Pro Bowl returner for Tennessee.

Kroy Biermann just re-signed with Atlanta

Colt Anderson has been a pretty valuable STer for Philly.

Taiwan Jones was taken pretty high by the Raiders last year (he played for Eastern Washington)

I certainly wasn't implying no one else had even looked into these guys. You'd really hope that wasn't the case.
