Gents, it seems like Red Ball has done a good job this year, but tommorow will be a big test for him. Why?

Tommorow is the first game under Garrett where we should just smoke the other team. Even Skin fans are saying that they are tanking the season, along with 90% of everybody else. If starting Grossman is not waving the white flag, I really dont know what else would be.

Bottom Line......No way in hell should we let "Sexy Rexy" come into our house and beat us. If we dont whip this team like a yard dog, we will be the laughing stock of the league.

Personally, I think Red has our guys ready to play and we win 31-7. However, if we lose, Red is going to catch alot of heat from the media and fans.

We can't stop anyone on defense. What makes you think we are big favorites?

This is the Commanders. Regardless of who suits up for them, these games tend to be tight. I'm sure Garrett will have the team ready but these games tend to have a life of their own. And it's not like we're not missing key players. Expect another nail-biter like the game earlier this season and the 7-6 win last season.

Am I the only getting tired of the weekly "big test for Garrett" threads?

Agreed. I said of the last "Garrett's Ultimate Game" threads:
When will it end..these one-game referendum posts?

Two days later and we get another silly one.

The Cowboys have a horrible defense, a backup quarterback and are w/out our playmaker rookie....How we should be blowing anyone out is beyond me.

Nope. How many tests does he need to pass before we simply get it?

Every game is a test for all the coaches and players. I wouldn’t sleep on Grossman. The guy can get hot for a game or two. He can throw a good deep ball, something this defense has had alot of problems with. The Skins defense always plays the Cowboys tough. Going to be a tougher game than you think.

For one of the few times, we agree

Every game will always be the ultimate test for him. If we win, he gets a chance next week and it was no big deal, because it was what was expected regardless of who the opponent is. If we lose, its a sign that he is absolutely not the guy.

Haha, thanks for the laugh!

I think people expecting a wipe out are gonna be disappointed.

Its almost always a tough game with them, and our defense is a huge problem. I wouldnt be surprised if it ended up something like 27-24 or therabouts. I'll be quite happy with just getting the W. W's are progress.

This reminds me of the week before the Lions game, when people were building them up to be some great test as well.

The only test was the team doing any better than they were doing under Wade. As long as Jerry saw that, JG was going to be the head coach going forward.

Our defense can keep anybody in it.

Sure they can. For 2 quarters in a game. You can pick which two quarters that will be. Selecting the 4th is not an option.

I'm talking about keeping the other team in the game.

Big test for Garrett? I don't know.

I do know the last time Garrett faced the Skins his offense put up a net 0 points. One TD and one TD for the Skins on Choice's/Garrett's major brain fart. Garrett's playcalling that game was abysmal and Garrett had all his weapons at his disposal.

Garrett was outcoached and schooled big time by Wash defensive coordinator Haslett that game. Wade's defense only gave up 6 points.
