I have a close, inside source from someone that works in the Jet organization that just today the Cleveland Browns have offered the 5th overall pick in exchange for the Jets 1st, 2nd and 5th round picks; as well as DE Kenyon Coleman and S Abram Elam.

Browns get:
Jets 1st round pick (17th overall)
Jets 2nd round pick
Jets 5th round pick
DE Kenyon Coleman
S Abram Elam

Jets get:
Browns 1st round pick (5th overall)

I assume then the Jets would draft QB Mark Sanchez...

It was reported earlier on KFFL that the Jets were looking to move up. Didn't say how far though.

If so the Jets might want to wait on that. I still think the Skins are going to sell the farm to slide into the 3rd slot to get Sanchez.

I think it's possible. The Jets are in love with Sanchez and I've been hearing about this for awhile now.

I don't see why they would throw in a couple throwaway players.

I really couldn't see a better situation for Sanchez either. He'll be the #5 pick overall, he'll be going to a team that should have made the playoffs last year; and Rex Ryan will focus on defense and running the football which will take a lot of pressure off of Sanchez..

Because Mangini is familiar with both of them and it would help install his defense.

That is a trade that wouldn't happen until the Browns were on the clock.

mangini does at least .. elam made some big plays for the jets last year . just a couple of solid , inexpensive vets that already know his system ...

jets also need a WR like the eagles need championships..
doubt if sanchez was gone they would be upset with taking crabby patty

Sanchez must be a real smooth talker to wow so many people-I am not impressed with him at all.

I am. He's going to be a starter for them for the next 10+ years. Something about him just screams "leader". He's a down to earth and total team guy. I think he'll be better than Stafford and make multiple pro-bowls. I'm a Sanchez fan.

What is this love for Sanchez? It is hard to predict what a QB will be like in the NFL, but I just didn't see anything that made me excited in college. Stafford either for that matter and I am a Georgia fan.

I agree, I think Sanchez will be the better NFL QB.

i hope its the Commanders that sell the farm DC, that way, they have to go through growing pains of a rookie qB again

sanchez might fool me, and help them like rothinsberger helped steelers or flacco helped the ravens but i dont think so,

i dont think sanchez has seen enough of defenses to do a good job his first year;

i think the trade would be dependent on Sanchez being on the board when the Browns are up.
