I was referring to Lee, Dez, and Smith.

As to using these players wrong, many of them simply don't fit our schemes, which still makes them bad draft picks for us.

Oh okay I was going to say to be honest I haven't seen many glimpses from that 2012 class lol.

And you're right. I think we've seen things from Claiborne.....and that's probably where it stops.

You're correct though. If this class will ever be anything its progressing far more slower than they should. Even Claiborne.

And with where we have drafted some of these guys.....they should be able to play most schemes we throw at them. I actually think Crawford and Wilber didn't fit our original scheme we had at the time.....but only proof of that is what they've done in training camp. Wilber looked solid at linebacker last year and pretty much should write off him going on the defensive line ever again.

Wait GB you gave Mo and "F" but gave Johnson a "D"??? I'm sorry I have a hard time with Mo getting an "F" the dude was hurt last year and when he played he did improve until he got hurt again. You can clearly see his talent and I think the 3rd year player can rebound and be salvaged. Johnson I don't see how you can even grade a guy who can't get on the field at all. Wilber I would give a solid "C" to because of his transition to OLB and he handled it very well and shows potential.

He based his "F" grade on the fact Claiborne cost us 2 picks. I don't look at it like that. He was our 6th pick in the draft. HE should be graded as such. Claiborne has been far better than a F. But even if you feel he's a F there's no way Johnson should be anything more than a F- or a Incomplete. We haven't even seen him. lol

No more excuses for Claiborne. Either play like a top 10 pick or go get paid to be soft somewhere else.

I agree about the whole 2 pick thing. He wasn't taken too high he wasn't a "reach" he was picked in the area he was slotted to go. Dallas wanted him and made the trade to get him. How that calls for an "F" or Just be held against Mo is not right. He shows flashes as a rookie and after a rough start and injury he came back started to play well before getting hurt again. I think he is going to be just fine.

Oh gee no more excuses for a guy who just completed his 2nd year in the league. Unreal.

How many years does it take for a top 10 pick corner to play like one? This is his 3rd season, the excuses are OVER.

I personally think the Cowboys swung and missed hard with Claiborne. They wanted Peterson, Peterson goes out and puts on a show and in one of Jerry's totally reactive moves gets Claiborne to try to scratch his itch for a player like Peterson. Except Claiborne isnt as fast, athletic, smart, or possess the ball skills of Peterson.

Instead of asking me how long it takes a top 10 pick corner to play like one maybe you should look at history and see how many were all stars in their first 2 years. Yes I know you will use PP as the rule and not the exception. Truth is it takes longer then 1-2 years for that to happen and you are expecting results immediately. He played well and showed some of his talent year 1 he played poorly before being hurt or us being aware he was hurt he came back started to play better and got hurt again. Not sure what you expect he just COMPLETED his 2nd year with missing most of camp in his 2nd defensive scheme that had him not playing to his strength. I'm not sure how hard that is for you to understand.

I agree 2012 draft is not looking good and the main reason is Claiborne. I still believe he can be a top CB but he has to be out on the field playing not riding the bench with injuries.

I still think Claiborne could turn things around, but the fact is he cost us a 1st and 2nd round draft pick.

I based my grades on what it took to draft them, what their expectations were, what their roles were, and whether they matched up to those.

Top 10 draft pick who gets replaced by Scandrick in the starting lineup? Who we traded up to get... Who can't stay healthy... Sounds like an F to me. Certainly not a passing grade. If we had drafted him later in the 1st round, and didn't give up a 2nd to get him, he would still be a D or D+ at best. The extra draft pick does him in though.

If you're off the team... you're getting an F, simple as that. If you were drafted on the "second day" and are still on the team, you got at least a D. "First Day" pick though? You need to be a starter or you're getting a D. First round draft pick, who starts but isn't a great starter... that's probably a C, C-. Not even a starter? That's a D. Can't accept giving a 1st and 2nd for Claiborne and not calling what he is right now an F.

All I see are excuses with maybe a dash of hope. He hasnt done anything in this league and was BENCHED. #6 overall. Benched. Sorry, not cutting. Not even comparable to other elite corners who got drafted high and played at a high level immediately.

I'd grade on their performance to date rather than on performance relative to their draft pick.

Claiborne and Crawford both have starter potential. Wilbur's borderline. Johnson's on his last chance but can still be a contributor. That's not a bad outcome from the top 7 picks, really. Not to mention the value of CFA.

I agree it's a big year for these players.

I will say that it isnt Mo's fault that Jerry sold us the "best CB since Deion" lie and who ever scouted him as such should be fired. I am looking in Lacewells direction for some reason.

Better than Woodson? Better than Revis? Not even better than Newman.

Welcome to ignore. What do you think the draft is? Hope! He wasn't "benched" he had to earn his job back and scan was playing solid ball. But mo was out in the field before he was hurt again. You can cry about excuses because you can't handle the truth. Done debating with your narrow minded thinking

The 09,10,11 and 12 should now contain not only our core but our depth too.
Nice breakdown but very worrying and quite typical

Yeah, if only we could all think outside the box about why a 6th overall pick has played like garbage.

Big mistake on the Claiborne pick. He is just too soft to play in the NFL. Drafted to be a playmaker and I can't even think of ONE play so far. I wish the team had done their due diligence on him. You don't just become soft once you reach the pros. There must've been warning signs

Crawford was a good pick, the rest was trash. Very disappointing.

One time Payton Manning threw the ball directly to him.
