Taylor Martinez is a horrible passer but in fairness to him, that's not his game...he's a scrambler first, second, and third. And he shouldn't have even been in position to be a full-time starting QB but since Nebraska's other QBs are TERRIBLE, they pretty much had no choice. This was how they played it all season so they were going to live and die by it. When you have such a one-dimensional QB, you have to have a capable pocket passer so your offense doesn't become completely stale.
I still think Martinez will be a very good college player but this year, Nebraska sure could have used a capable pocket QB to split with him, similar to Chris Leak and Tebow in 2006.
