Bigg open to comeback

That would be awesome. Having him as a backup would be fine with me. I am not sold on Holland one bit. Davis we know could play if needed. Could his ego handle coming back at a fraction of the cost?

I don't think Davis has much of an ego. He's an aw-shucks country boy. I think he'd start over Holland, to be honest. I'm not sure Holland would even make the team.

I'm with ya there. Maybe he trys harder when he see what he had in Dallas. The grass isn't always greener.

I think Davis would help Smith out more than Holland. Also lets Holland go back to backing up Kosier for when he hurts his foot again and let Arkin hit the gym all year. Shores up some concerns.

I'm not opposed to having him back at a much cheaper rate and having Holland and him push eachother for playing time.

If nothing else he'd add some depth which is better than going short at the O-line position.

If Davis was worth starting over Holland last year, why wouldn't he be this year?

You know what? I would.

Despite what the mouth breathers have been saying, Holland is not better than him.

Would be nice if he were more motivated, though.

I'm open to the possibility. He was making way to much before and thus far, nobody has taken his position yet.

Combine that with the fact that both Koiser and Holland have had injuries. (please don't say Arkin again, the kid isn't anywhere closed to being ready to play at the NFL level)

We need him back. There's no reason why we don't bring him in. What else is out there,at least we know what we have in him. I'd be more comfortable with him than Holland.

I don't want him. Wade philips even bEnched him last year. And he believed in Alan ball. No way I want him back

No, stop with the retreads.

This. Stop bringing players back. We cut him and there's a reason nobody else has signed him. He's horrible.

I am not too sure about that one. The fact that no other teams seem interested in bringing in a guy who has been a starter his whole career tells a lot about the quality of his play the last 2 seasons.

And you don't think the fact that Holland has sat on the bench behind Davis the last 3 years says something about Holland?

Though the re-signing would help our current situation, I have to marvel at the reasoning behind not upgrading this position, WHY??!!! On the off chance that the rookie will help Davis' performance?

Yep. The fact that he can't find work anywhere else in the league speaks volumes. He wasn't just a salary cap casualty, he's just not good. You get rid of bad football players because you're trying to upgrade over them. You don't bring bad football players back. If Holland can't, give Costa or Arkin a shot.

Oops. Seems that everyone kinda missed that point.

I would definitely be in favor of bringing Davis back at "severely reduced pay" (have to read that in the voice of Hermes from Futurama). :laugh2:

I like what I see from Holland when he plays but he can't seem to stay healthy so I wouldn't want to count on him for 16 games.
