I think Bell would be a good FS in our defense

I like it, though I'd rather have Jeremy Cash in round two.

An UDFA I'll throw in is LB Deion Jones of LSU.

I am a little off on the prospects this year compared to previous years. It just feels like it is slim pickins for many positions, at least late in the draft. Once I get a chance to see more action and evaluate more players, my assessment will probably change. I will have to pay better attention to LSU's D.....When I watch them, I see a crappy QB, a pretty good WR Dural, and a stud RB Fournette.

Cash is a good player, but Bell is doing it on a bigger stage. Either way, they should both be very good S in the NFL.

I am skittish on a QB in the first round, especially one that despite being great this year in college, would still be a developmental guy.

That first round pick this year could be on a defensive player or WR which probably helps this team more in the short term and the 3 year window we have with Romo left than a QB. Now I might take a QB in the 2nd or 3rd round possibly.

Jones reminds me some of Woody.

Looks like a good solid draft to me.

Too many small school players, six or seven is a bit much. Not that they are all bad because of it, I just get nervous with drafts like this. We have seen them before and got burned badly.

I see what you are saying. I do love getting those SEC kids though.

Every QB coming out of the draft is a developmental guy. Winston. Mariota. Luck. All still developing. Even Aaron Rodgers could've been considered a developmental guy. Although he had the luxury of developing behind Favre for four seasons.

You just have to decide to commit to the position. It's when you stop half-assin the position, and stop taking flyers on utter projects, that's when your chances of a smooth transition increase.

I definitely want the first 4 in my draft, while also trying to get WR Braxton Miller - tOSU in there somewhere.

Kupp is killing the stat sheet, and looks like a great compliment opposite Dez......Braxton can be that guy who plays all the WR positions, RB, QB (especially for those WR passes), KR, and PR. Braxton is simply electrifying.

Street, Whitehead, and Butler are all very expendable. Williams is headed that way, if he can't make some noise with Cassel.

I like the though of a WR in the 3rd or 4th next year, and possibly 1st or 2nd in 2017.

We need depth at the position. I still think Williams is good oppisite Bryant, but we need options outside. I would like to draft a mid rounder and maybe add a mid tier vet via FA and in 2017 look to replace Williams

Every QB ever taken is a risk. But some are lesser risks than others.

Luck was about as close to a sure thing as possible.

But this kid from Memphis has exploded in just one season and I always cringe at the fast risers that come out of nowhere, especially at the QB spot. And as I said, in a draft where we could use help immediately at interior DL or S or even WR or RB............... I can't see the logic in wasting a first round pick on a guy you plan to sit behind Romo for the 3 years.

I'd take Braxton Miller too, at QB. Kid could be Tebow but with a better arm. If his shoulder is 100%, Miller would make a great swiss army knife while Romo is playing and get reps at QB on goal line or 2 point conversions. Add another kind of threat to opposing defenses.
