Biggest Defensive issue was inability to stop the run!

I know you and I like Basham and think he’d be a great fit.

If we don’t land him or someone like him, you likely just see him role with Lawrence in that capacity and kick Gregory to the other side. TC if healthy could give you some depth there.

Basham in the 2nd and McNeil in the 3rd would be fun if they were available.
Its gonna be interesting where DE's go in the draft. For as weak as it is at the top, it seems pretty deep. Seems like alot of day 2 caliber guys

All of them lost.

Also, Cowboys may have been ranked high in 2019, but they were soft then too. You like soft teams and it's cute until they get hit in the mouth by a physical team.
The Chiefs won the SB ranked 29th. Both teams had top-10 pass defenses though.

Soft isn't a real thing, it's something fans make up because they don't realize it isn't the 1990s anymore. The Bucs aren't even physical, the Chiefs OL was just all hurt.

Tank has had alot of success rushing from the 9 gap on the left side in the past. His breakout year in 2015, I think he got all 8 sacks from the 9
I think Tank can line up everywhere aspect Nose Tackle. He might be deployed like Michael Bennett, where he will play both inside/outside. I'm curious how Quinn is going to put together his base defense (early, obvious run downs). Think they are going to target two run defenders for their starting lineup.

I'm also looking at guys like Payton Turner and Sample later on in the draft to play a similar role. Base LE, kick inside in the nickel.

Getting off the field is a product of your passing defense.

They didn't play any offenses who run the ball in the playoffs.
New Orleans was 6th and Green Bay was the 8th ranked rushing offense.

Parsons was ranked 2 in run stoppage by pff. I’d love a signing at dt then parsons in round 1 w Asante Samuel

They're both passing offenses.

The Saints offense sucked anyway, and they were 10 and 7.
Both were top 10 rushing offenses, yet they couldn't run the football at all in the playoffs. Without the balance, far easier to defend.

Both teams averaged over 4 ypc against Tampa in the playoffs...

I think we can all agree the front 7 needs work. There is a lack of talent. Quinn knows the kind of players needed to succeed. I think there is no question we need an upgrade to Woods in the middle. But I’m all for adding players that can get upfield and pressure the QB. We need it all..
