Biggest Disappointment of the Preseason so far: the Offensive Line

Well really the Offense in general but it all starts up front.

Run-blocking? Mediocre at best.

Pass-Blocking? Our QBs don't even have the chance to get their feet set 90% of the time before having to throw the ball away, force a bad pass, or take the sack. These obviously aren't the most agile QBs of all-time but hell, even Vick needs blocking sometimes.

Everybody (including Jerry and Bill) knew coming into this season that the only way Bledsoe even possibly had a chance at being successful was to get him some really good protection. If the OL's quality of play continues to be this poor, I don't see how we even have a shot at 8 wins, let alone the Playoffs.

Wish I wasn't.

Zona? I kind of wrote-off to first game jitters.

Seattle? I told myself that the unit just needed some more time to gel.

Tonight? The Texans are making us look like JV and there is nobody watching this "game" who should be convinced otherwise.

I guess it's a disappointment if you were expecting a whole lot from them.

We've been talking how our OL has been a team strength for the past 10 years, and year in year out, it's been a serious weakness.

Time to re-construct it. Trade Flo and LA, and rebuild with new players. Easier said than done, but we gotta do it.

I was and so were a lot of others on this board. With Rivera, a "healthy" Rogers, and Gurode back at Center, the OL did look promising to many. Of course, that's why they don't play the games on paper.

Side Note: With their last drive of the 1st Half, the Cowboys OL has finally woken up and given Bledsoe some protection and guess what? He's picking the Texans apart. Amazing what not having 3 White Jerseys in the backfield 2 seconds after the snap can do for your success.

Ya. Let's trade our entire line, and sign all the undrafted free agents we can get. We'll be set for the next 12 years!

......and that was an 80 yard TD Drive with some really-good blocking (both pass and rush).

Now where in the hell has that OL been all preseason long?

:bang2:
