I'm interested in the player that you really had your hopes up for. The one that fell short of your expectations. For me, it has to be Matt Johnson. I thought it was an interesting pick and was very hopeful that he would pan out. The guy just can't stay on the field. I don't recall him having any major injury issues in college.. Very disappointing. Especially since my boy Swearinger was available for the taking this year... :(

I'm ready for the season and still see 9-7 (10-6 if we overachieve). That Safety position will be a source of high blood pressure for me all season though.

in many fans i considered intelligent.

they now start threads calling out people to hate coming forward. who was our wasted pick before they even played a game? who do we bag on out of our own desire, not reality? there's a mindset i cant understand, explain or talk to.

but thankfully now, i can make them go away properly.

LOL! I actually clicked this thread and knew someone was going to say the fans.

You know, for ignoring and making them all go away properly you sure seem to fixate on them a lot. If I'm not already on your ignore list can you please add me to it? Thanks in advance.

I truly hope Matt Johnson turns in to something at the Safety position but he is on a collision course with the Glassman II title.

Matt Johnson. I mean, he really did flash....really.

Mo Claiborne. I think he can be great. But a second year without an offseason. I wonder if he'll every fully develop into what he could be.

Ratliff not being on the field for at least 6 weeks... This guy has become more hassle than he's worth I believe.

Parnell and Kowalski. Even though it's too early to throw in the towel on them it is starting to look a little bleak.

Wasting a pick on Gavin Escobar. He looks like our 5th TE while our DT corps looks paper thin. All the people saying draft DT in round 2 were right on the money.

If Escobar wasn't a high draft pick he'd have been cut yesterday.

what you said word for word, including the part about Swearinger

To people saying Parnell...you do realize there's a good chance he's our starting RT, right? Despite his offseason injury? Goodness people.

The obvious answer is Ratliff.

All the people that are disappointed about the Ratliff injury need you heads examined. The guy hasn't been healthy for 2 years and has unarguably the worst attitude on the team. He'll never play another down for this team IMHO.

If anything you should be disappointed our GM and defensive coordinator failed to realize DT was a position of weakness on this team when it was obvious to everyone else.

Right. I can't be disappointed about something I already knew. I can't say Escobar for the same reason.

So it's the Crawford injury. He was the one potentially promising young player we had on the DL. Not only is he out for the year, but it's an injury that's tough to come back from.

Not as tough in this day and age with the resources NFL teams have at their disposal.. he'll be back, no doubt.

How can anybody be disappointed in Parnell? What were you expecting? He is a 27 year old journeyman type who has never really started in the NFL who has been already been in 4 different NFL camps in his short career (Saints, Dolphins, Saints, Cowboys).

He's about exactly what you'd think he'd be with this credentials / background -- a marginal RT.

.........its the continuation of the Carpenter/ GROZ syndrome.......... there will always be another one........
