I know the Ducks pulled away at the end during garbage time, but if that play is a Utah TD instead of an Oregon TD, I think Utah wins that game. Utah was ridiculously deflated after that happened. Their defense, which was dominating up to that point, gave up 17 points on the Ducks' next 3 drives. Then in the 2nd half when Utah made a game of it pulling to within 3, that should have been an 11 point lead.

I can't figure out how this type of thing keeps happening. These players have to see the videos of guys who have done it in the past. How do they not learn from that? Why risk something like that? Get in the endzone and then celebrate. Selfish idiot.

Oregon is the better team and would have won regardless. Utah is a good team with a tough defense. No team scored 30 points on them until the Ducks last night scored 51. The game was close in the 4th quarter and then the Ducks took over.

Did you see the game? Oregon only "took over" when it was desperation time for the Utes and they started taking major chances because they were trailing by 2 scores. That TD was a 14 point swing. With 12 minutes to go in the game Utah cut it to 3. That could have been an 11 point lead instead of a 3 point deficit and if that was the case, there's no way Oregon gets that pair of garbage time TD's.

Just because Oregon is the better team doesn't mean they would have pulled it out on the road against a fired up opponent. They are better than Arizona too, but that doesn't mean they beat 'em every time.

I watched the game. FWIW I watch the Ducks every Saturday. They would have come back from 14 pts down. The fumble return happened at the beginning of the 2nd quarter and tied the game at 7 apiece. With basically 3 quarters of football to play and the game tied you cannot say it was the difference in the game.

And you can't say for sure it wasn't. But facts are on my side: After that fumble return, Utah was completely deflated. Their defense went from having their way with Oregon (gave up 0 points in the 1st quarter) to giving up 17 points on the next 3 drives. Utah controlled most of that game That 14 point swing was worth more than 14 points to anyone in the know.

Oregon is a good at making adjustments. They score in bunches so it was just a matter of time before they started lighting up the scoreboard.

Saying a team is deflated really isn't a fact. That is more an opinion.

That play definitely hurt Utah's chances of winning. Turned a 14 point lead into a tied game. I think any team in Oregon's position would be happier with being tied instead of being down by two TDs.

It's an opinion supported by the evidence. Oregon had 0 points in 2 offensive drives before that play then 17 points in the next 3 drives. That's either a huge coincidence or that play turned things around big time. I am not one who is a firm believer in coincidences.

Just like they did in the Arizona game, huh?

Oregon's OL had significant injuries for a couple of weeks and AZ took advantage (like they should have).

Wow.

I don't know if that play would have kept Oregon from winning but goodness talk about a complete game changing play. That changes the entire tone of the game right there at that point.

Utah went from being high on being up 14-0 to deflated instantly by the fact that their WR was a complete idiot who just cost them a 14-0 lead and instead had to watch as Oregon tied the game up off his stupidity.

What exactly was the point of dropping the ball like that? I mean come on. How do you not realize that you're not in the endzone yet? That's just flat out stupid.

It is stupid showboating. Oregon had a player do it this year as well.

He was so eager to showboat he couldn't wait to throw the ball down. There's no amount of stupid he could feel to match the stupidity of that play. I was watching that game and switched channels right before it happened, I'm so pissed I missed it happen live.
