What are your biggest NFL 2016 Shockers and where do the Cowboys narratives rank?

Here are the biggest shockers...at least for me. (this is my list)

1. Kansas City Chiefs, have won 16 of their last 18 regular season games.
2. Oakland Raiders are good...maybe great
3. Cowboys are the best team in the NFC
4. Dak Prescott is not only viable starter but a star
5. Tom Brady at age 39 is having his best statistical season
6. The league is on pace for 3500 penalties, second most in history
7. Aaron Rogers looks ordinary

What's your #1 shocker?

I had no idea KC was playing that good. I guess I would have to agree with that list.
Carolina playing as bad as they are seems like a bit of a shocker also.

I haven't ranked my list yet, just collected the items.

KC hasn't even been on my radar--I've paid them no attention. But damn! AFC West is STACKED right now.

Are you ranking that as the biggest shocker in the NFL this year?

For me yes. The #1 pick in the draft, Rams won't play. And are sticking with Keenum, who is horrible and a qb rating of 77.2. He has 9 tds with a whopping 11 ints.

Of course it's a surprise. But 2 reasons the Goff narrative wouldn't crack my list:

-A lot of scouts didn't think the 2016 draft featured any true high end quarterbacks. There wasn't one guy comparable in grades to Marriota, Winston

-There have been exceptions lately, but quarterbacks usually take time and we still don't know about Goff

Again, he was the #1 pick, so they saw something to move up and give up picks. And Keenum is bad, they' aren't going anywhere with him.

#1 Player refuses to stand for the national anthem and isn't wrung up by his coach, the owner, or the league.

That's got to be up on the list.

Re. politics...

The NFL views the lack of 3 bathroom types as a social outrage and wants to demonize people over it?

All while they engage in predatorial and corrupt gambling practices... there are some real honorable folks running the league...

True. But there are busts in every draft...that's if he turns out to be such.

Finding an elite quarterback in the 4th round...and having him succeed immediately...is a bigger surprise.
