Just some trivia ....

With a big road game coming up in Seattle, I was curious how many times over the last 30 years Dallas has beaten a team on the road that eventually either won the Super Bowl or at least made it to the NFC or AFC title game in a meaningful game.

Over the last 30 years, here they are.---I'm going to just give us the nod in our 3 Super Bowl years

Super Bowl Champion Dallas Cowboys
  • 1992 SUPER BOWL CHAMPS
  • 1993 SUPER BOWL CHAMPS
  • 1995 SUPER BOWL CHAMPS
Years we Beat the eventual Super Bowl Champ on the Road
  • 1991: at Super Bowl Champ Washington
  • 2007: at Super Bowl Champ New York
  • 2009: at Super Bowl Champ New Orleans
Years we Beat the eventual Super Bowl Runner-Up on the Road
  • 1994: at Super Bowl Runner-up Pittsburgh
  • 2014: at Super Bowl Runner-up Seattle

Honorable Mentions

Years we Beat the eventual AFC or NFC Runner-ups on the Road

  • 1997: at NFC Runner-up Pittsburgh
  • 1995: at NFC Runner-up Carolina
  • 2011: at NFC Runner-up San Francisco
  • 2016: at NFC Runner-up Green Bay
  • 2016: at AFC Runner-up Pittsburgh

We're due!
It's been nearly 4 years since we beat a final 4 team and nearly 6 since we've beaten a Super owl finalist on the road.

We won't know till later if Seattle is going to at least make the final 4, but it's certainly possible.

Your offense is scary good, your defense is scary bad.
Same can be said for my Hawks, though I like our safeties.

What scares me is your special team coach, Bones.
When he was with the Rams he’d burn us once a game, with a fake or trick play.

I Wouldn’t be surprised if Dallas wins but, I think Seattle wins in a horse race that may come down to whomever has the ball last.
