It's rather simple.

Surprise: Felix Jones. I had no idea he was going to be that explosive and have such great vision at such a young age.

Disapointment: Tank Johnson. Was supposed to really give us a 'presence' in the middle. Outside of maybe 3 big plays he has been a non-factor, and if you watch film he has been getting routinely pushed around.

Surprise: Felix - I really don't know where we'd be without him in some games...how did the 2007 Cowboys win those games again?

Disappointment:
Anthony Henry - at this time last year he was playing lights out.
Offensive Line - sucks.
Run D - used to be a really strong thing for us, I remember in 2005 when I believe we held LT to about 50-something yards.
Lady Luck - helped us win a few games last year...screwing us over now.

Soft schedule. We were very freakishly healthy and teams didn't figure us out until around week 13. Since then we're 5-6.

I don't know about that.

For the most part we won the games we needed to win.

I wouldn't say that we "just weren't that good."

We DID beat the Super Bowl Champs - twice. Not when it mattered, but we proved that we could do it at least.

Figured us out? You mean they finally got some film on Romo? I often heard he'd be exposed once that happened. If teams 'figured us out' last year, how'd we start off 3-0 this year?

I'm disappointed in Spencer. I thought he was going to break out this season.
So far, he can't get out of the training room. Woodley is looking like a better pick from the Pac Ten.

We didn't play well in any of those 3 games. The Browns absolutely laid an egg and we played a C- game. Philly game could've gone either way.

We played solid against Green Bay but with that victory came the defeat of every team in the league figured out how to erase T.O.

We have not played 'well' in any of the 7 games we've played this year. Last year I can say we played very well in 10 games. We stole the Buffalo and Detroit game last year, so be wary with those numbers.

This team has not been nearly as good as our record, and number of pro bowlers have indicated.

In short, we have been severely overrated and overhyped.

We don't play solid defense, we don't force turnovers, we make stupid penalties, we are horrible in the special teams department, and our offense is enemic when you take T.O. out the game. But keep staring through those silver and blue glasses, and falling back on those 'numbers'.

For me... my "Biggest Suprise" & "Biggest Disappointment" ARE THE SAME.

I am suprised & disappointed that this team has not learned how to put it all together by now.

After the Seattle loss... it was supposed to be a "bad taste in their mouths"
Atter the Giants loss... the better team didnt win and "we were gonna be on a mission to show the world"

Seems the players/coaches didnt get THAT memo.

Yeah, but when you take away all that, we're really good. :D

I've said it before, the difference between this seanson and last is the D is not forcing turnovers. The other parts of the game are the same. Except maybe the special teams being a little bit worse than last year.

Biggest Surprise:
Rat continuing to play at a Pro Bowl level.

Biggest Disappointment:
The offensive line.

good choices here achozen....ratliff is one of the few players to play with emotion on this team..

he has played very well this year and he will continue tomorrow.

my biggest surprise: i did not break furniture or kill anything or get asked for a divorce these past few weeks.

my biggest disappointment: the coaching staff.....to have all this talent and not be able to utilize it just baffles what is left of my mind.

geez, give the guy a break...he looked like a good pick last yr, he's just been hurt this yr...

its also safe to say Woodley benefits from playing alot and playing for a very good defensive coordinator...niether of those things applies to Spencer right now

So can we officially call Carp and Spears busts? Can we put it down somewhere in the Cowboyszone constitution?

Canty, Tank, Flozel, and Gurode really aren't helping our cause in the trenches either.

I mean really, you went to the pro bowl - but you have been in the league 4 years and still can't get the shotgun snap back to your quarterback effectively.

Biggest surprise: Felix. I didn't think he was worth a first round pick. It's still too early to claim anything either way, but he's already done more than I expected.

Biggest disappointment: Canty. I was expecting him to become a Richard Seymour type player by now. Not even close.

Felix Jones no doubt. The guy has been a spark of electricity every time he gets a touch.

I'd have to say lack of creativity with the offensive coordinator has been a big let down for me. We have all these weapons holstered. Maybe they are holding back as many have said, or maybe Opie has amnesia...

I'm surprised that the trade for Roy Williams happened when it did (about 10 days ago).

Disappointments abound. General listlessness of the team is most disappointing, along with ineffective coaching and bad luck with injuries.

My suprise is that ppl are still suprised about poor play after 7 wks, no really. Second The Cowboys were taken off TV because they were gettin blown out!

Dissappointment is that I've spent about 2500 bucks on the cowboys this season, including club seats @ the Zona game the NFL package and a trip to training camp! I would redo all if I knew how heartless this team was deep down!
