Bijan the Great

He will go at 25 to New York. Then I will be angry like when they took Aaron Ross

Don’t want him. I want the best DT or OT available.
At 26 all the top tier OL and DTs will be off the board. You never reach for needs in the 1st round. If Bijan Robinson is there you take an elite blue chip player. There's not a big drop in talent between the OL and DTs you can get at 26 that you cant get in the 2nd round.

We are picking end of the 1st. Not gonna hope for Robinson but if board is wiped and he is the only 1st round talent left, you cant rage at this pick. Especially if we need a strong run game or our offense stalls.

Uness we trade ^ we aint getting him. I rather draft Gibbs in rd 2

BS. There are great DT’s at 26.

Define great.
After Will Anderson,Jalen Carter,Myles Murphy and Tyree Wilson you are getting in Mazi Smith territory.(Taco Charleton)
And all four will be long gone at 26.

Jared Verse is right behind Will Anderson at DE. I’d rather have him than Murphy and Wilson for sure.

Having said that, there is no way Verse is still there at 26 either. He’s not getting talked about a whole lot yet… but he’s going to rise like crazy. To the point where he might go top 10.

The guy is a really good player.

Back to Robinson: I could see him being the best choice for Dallas at 26… if he makes it that far (which I don’t think he will). He’s a terrific player.

I don’t know why this is hard to understand Bijan would be the best player available. A difference maker and takes pressure of the quarterback if the line can protect. ButHe won’t make it to us

I watched some Bijan cutups, and truth be told, I don't really see him as a "different dude". As RB prospects declaring for the draft, Saquon and Zeke were different dudes. Sophomore Fournette was too, he was the closest thing I've seen to Adrian Peterson. I'm guessing Lombardi Lenny's ankle sapped him. Anyway, I'm just not seeing Bijan as one of those guys.

He looks a hell of a lot like Saquon as a rusher. But back in his day, Barkley juked out an Ohio State defense where something insane like 9 of 11 guys went on to start in the NFL. OTOH, Bijan ripped up a Texas Tech defense where 1 guy is going to start in the NFL. Both RBs have highlight reels that look pulled from Madden, but Saquon walked out of hard mode and Bijan is walking out of easy mode. When he faced Bama, Robinson looked a lot more mortal.

I'm also not seeing this big time receiving ability Bijan is touted as having. He's got soft hands, but he only had 19 catches on the year, and I didn't see him run any patterns more complex than a flat or wheel route against open grass.

The Bijan comp I'm going with is Breece Hall from last year. They're stylistically different on tape, but on paper, they're almost exactly the same dude. Both of them have 99th percentile mutant-tier measurables, huge rushing lines in the Big 12, and modest receiving stats. Hall went 36th overall last year, lit up the league for a monster 5.8 YPC average, and then tore his ACL. That's the upside of Bijan as well as the occupational hazard.

The one RB who strikes me as different this year is Jahmayr Gibbs. It's rare to find a halfback with his level of college receiving production, and rarer still to find one with elite athleticism as a rusher.

If I have to explain it to you then it’s not worth my time.

You and me are going to be in the minority of guys that prefer Gibbs to Robinson. I see Gibbs as a faster Kamara

The team may have to rework their entire rb room, rather not go down that route if taking another 1st rd rb, but if he falls would have to take him as the best player available

Surprisingly, Verse decided to go back to Florida State for another year. He is one of the biggest returnees this year. He must have a massive NIL deal to have done this. If he declared this year he goes top 15, it's just a weird decision to me.

Would you really like to look at the past evidence of successful RB’s in the 2nd round or later Vs impactful defensive players drafted later?
