I dont know if it is so much "negativity" as it is "questionable" - his decisions and playcalling etc...

Regardless if we make the playoffs or not Bill has help to bring some solid talent on this team and we are a lot futher along than we were before he got here. You can give him a pass or not that is your deal for me this is not about just this season but the direction this team is heading in.

What makes me so frustrated with Parcells is that he did so many things right (Bledsoe, Johnson, Drafts), but left himself wide open at the places where his type of game lives or dies: Special Teams and Offensive Line.

Granted some things were beyond his control (injuries, etc...) but you'd think after a million years of coaching, he'd know to have good OL depth and not skimp on Special Teams.

He's got the team's habits completely changed around. The team never quits on the field. What the hell more can you ask for? Anything more would require BETTER talent, and I'm sorry but Rome wasn't built in a day. You people forget the mess he took over in the first place I guess.

IMO, it was about not being able to plug every hole in one offseason, and think about it, going into the year, only RT was the big question mark on the Oline, we were supposed to have 3 Pro Bowlers on the line, and an up-and-coming C

and like Parcells said, 10-15 teams would be in our same position if their starting LT went down, it's the salary cap area, can't stock-pile depth at every position, and esp. not when the roster has been completely revamped and we're stock-piling starters

but I believe Parcells not ensuring that we have a clutch kicker, and firing Hoffman, are/were questionable decisions

Why would he need one? He does not answer to this board. the guy he answers to 'reportedly' gave him an extension. Hes got all the passes he needs, and if you feel a need to drill him, certainly feel free, but dont expect much action from Jerry cause your upset.

Also when you copnsider the vanilla play calling - consider this!

1 - Offense. If the guys are not executing, your play calling looks like crap.
2 - Defense. When learning the basics of a new system, smart pple dont throw the whole damn package at noobs and expect them to learn it today. You slowly introdude the basics and then add the complicated stuff after they have a chance to be proficient in the basics first. While this happens your D looks vanilla.

So while your opinion of his playcalling offers names like Stupid, vanilla or boring, maybe its you who are not getting the full picture. Before you critisize, maybe you should investigate the cause and effect relationships of starting rookie and installing a new defensive scheme.

Unless JJ comes back or something like that, I think Bill should be here at least a few more years and I see a super bowl in there somewhere.
