Not to mention the absolutely hideous play calling. They blitz up the middle so let's keep calling 7 step drops and running JJ up the middle...freaking pathetic!

If BP still calls for Bledsoe them I will start sing can his butt songs...how blind can he be???

I thought the problem was runs to the outside and short drops in empty back sets.

Incase you didn't notice, our best running gains came when we ran up the middle.

And if the pressure is coming up the middle and coming quick, you want your QB to be AWAY from that pressure. Calling 7 step drops to counter that isn't surprising, the fact that we didn't run more screens and rollouts, and that we kept calling that empty set IS surprising.

Say what? We got burned when we were aggressive.

I didnt see much aggression on the 60 yd bomb to LJ Smith, or the flea flicker play when McNabb stood 7yds back there with nobody near him

you can tab the long one Watkins gave up on maybe being overly aggressive, but the biggest problem was McNabb having all year to throw on all but probably 3 or 4 plays

That was my gripe, McNabb can throw deep and dump offs, if he's got a weakness it's when the coverage is good, force him to thread the needle

Parcells also said the corner blitz was called knowing they were going to throw that particular pass. He said the linebacker was supposed to be clear and take down McNabb. The linebacker was clear, but that McNabb made an adjustment and was able to throw the ball.

It's almost like BP was willing to sacrifice the game to try to prove it could work.

It's disappointing he has that mentality.

24 points sounds like a nice number in theory, but it varies game to game.

Bledsoe tosses the game-costing interception. He takes a huge sack that, at the time, seemed like a game loser. A possession or two before, he underthrows TO on what is a sure TD for the interception.

I don't know how you can't be anything but upset with his performance at this point. We're four games into the season and he's already thrown like 7 interceptions.

Well had the pass to Glenn had a little more air on it Glenn does not have to slow up a bit and catches it in stride for a TD too. This game is on the O-Line and Bledsoe.

Yes, on the play to Baskett we got burned being agressive, buit somany times I saw Ware, or Ellis pull up from a pass rush, only to give McNabb another 4 seconds in the pocket with our best pass rushers out there holding there *****.

And, as far as the "aggressive" play call to blitz Henry on the Baskett TD , that had to have been the dumbest thing I've seen in a long time. If you're going to blitz a corner, do it with a guy that has a little speed, NOT the slowest CB on your roster. The success of the play demands a quick result. Henry wasn't even in the picture when McNabb released the ball!

Yes, cuz it sure didn't do what it was suppose to do and free up a man for the sack. OH WAIT! IT DID, Ellis just missed the freakin' tackle.

Again..

So I guess this means you have a little hat and tin cup ready for your team.

Flea flickers are called to take advantage of a defense being overly aggressive. If it works, probably means you were being too aggressive.

Funny, because in retrospect, the 1st 15 minutes was critical to us losing the game. Without those 10 points off of turnovers, the Cowboys go into the half up 21-7. That COMPLETELY changes the defensive philosophy. We had to play closeto the vest and got burned. With a 14 point leadyou can turn the heat up a bit (though after watching the seccond half, I'm not sure we pack much heat, defensively).

I dunno. You knew the Eagles were gonna come out like a house on fire. Sure, the mistakes we made were costly but we ultimately made up for them later in the half.

The second half is when we lost this game. Despite entering the half with momentum and the lead, Philly simply proved to be the better team in the second half.
