Not the greatest defensive end, and can't stay healthy, probably not going to get healthier at age 30.

That being said he has played for Marinelli before, and he can be productive. Perhaps in a clean up roll at the veteran minimum he wouldn't be a poor option depending on how Wilber is doing.

15 sacks in his last 32 games.

Thoughts?

Probably not a good fit on the strong side. I think he has often been just a pass rush specialist.

Couldn't Wilber remain the strongside backup and Anderson back up Ware?

Ultimately, we need two quality backups, and we don't know if we even have one.

Anderson is a bigger guy than Wilber, if anything you'd want him on the strong side and Wilber on the weakside.

Ware is bigger than Spencer but they play Spencer on the strong side. I dont think it matters anymore in the nfl. if you can rush the passer they find spots to maximize ur rush

I still think the interior of the DL concerns me more, but I wouldnt be opposed to taking a look at him.

Man, he was so disappointing in Buffalo (when healthy). He is the definition of one-dimensional.

Was a beast with the Bears, but if he's getting cut by the Bills before a single preseason game, that's not a good sign.

He just doesn't offer much outside of pass rushing, and for what they were paying him, he needed to offer a lot more. He gets run over as soon as a blocker gets their hands on him.

No thanks, I don't want a cast off of he freaking Bills who can't stay healthy and can't make the team before preseason.

spagnola is tweeting his way about mark Anderson. I wouldntbe suprised to see him in Dallas. backup and situational rusher would be nice.

My thoughts are thus: If a GM named Schrodinger were considering signing Mark Anderson, would his career be simultaneously alive and dead? Also, if Mark Anderson were to fall in the woods with no one else around, would it make a sound to anyone other than Mark Anderson?

I think Anderson is strictly a pass rusher. The jury's out on Wilber, but he might have the ability to hold up at the point of attack against the run, which would make him a better option for Spencer's spot.

Of course, based on Bass playing with the first team today, Dallas might feel he's a better option there than Wilber (or the Cowboys are just checking their options to see if they've got two guys who can handle those backup roles now that Crawford's done).

could have value at the right price.
legit 3rd DE who wouldn't be major step down as a pure pass rusher.
in this defense he'd work provided he wasnt asked to play every down.
