I'm not sure what you'd expect from a fans perspective of the opposition...Of course they're going to be optimistic...I was optimistic when Dallas went against Indy last season when all logic suggested otherwise.

Some have been drinking so much from the kool aid that they think opposing fans are supposed to feel lucky to even play Dallas let alone have a chance to win...Come on

I went to college in Buffalo back in the late 80's and early 90's. The Bills represent the city ... which is pretty much a third tier city, even in the state of NY.

That's why the city embraces the team so wholeheartedly. It's their only national exposure (I'm not sure the Sabres count). They have an unrealisticly optimistic view of themselves and their team.

To them, their city represents a shining example of urban renewal in western NY. To everyone else, it's a tiny post industrial shanty-town next to Niagara Falls.

Basically, the city has no hope for a future, which is represented by the Bills. So you have two dismal entities embracing one another with hopes for a better life. It's like a flea in a jar looking to escape to a better world.

Pretty pathetic if you ask me.
