A SOLID alternative to T.O. without the potential locker room disruption..

Bills | Moulds asks for his release
Mon, 13 Mar 2006 16:25:54 -0800

Leo Roth, of the Democrat and Chronicle, reports Buffalo Bills WR Eric Moulds, who has been asked to take a substantial cut in pay, wants the team to release him from the final two years of his contract so he can sign with another team. "Let him go, it's only fair," Greg Johnson, Moulds' personal advisor, said today after talking with his client. "If they're not going to pay what we feel is fair-market value, he should be allowed to go somewhere where he could maybe get it." Moulds is scheduled to count $10.8 million against the salary cap and he's due to earn $7.1 million in cash (salary and bonus) for the upcoming season.

TO is still my first choice Tuna, but moulds would be a solid option as well. I think the Commanders will probably land Moulds though. :laugh1: :laugh2:

If by 'solid' you mean 'not nearly as good.'

We don't need another over-30 receiver unless he's a lock for the Pro Bowl. Moulds is on par with Glenn and Johnson and would only take catches away from Crayton.

We are definitely in the Bizzaro World!

** Edit ** Sorry, when I first read this, I for some reason thought that the $7 Mill figure was the amount he was going to make after he was asked to take the pay cut. It's obvious that this was a back-loaded contract which caused the request for a pay cut. It will still be interesting to see if he eventually gets Bizzaro World Money. I expect the Skins will sign him tomorrow.
