In eight years, he has only played an entire season three times. His last full season was 2011.

The Bills are cash strapped from what I hear and they either needed to re-sign him (to cut his cap hit currently I believe $4.9M) or cut him. Given that he has been plagued by injuries the last several years. This was the right move for them.

He is a good player, but like Sean Lee. He can't stay on the field. When you can't stay on the field, that hurts cap wise, play wise, and roster wise. I'll pass.
