Bills stay busy, and extend Jackson

Even though I live in western New York, I've never been a Bills' fan.

But I'd like to see them do better. Maybe it's because I'm so sick of New England, but it's time for a change in that division. The Jets are better but they seem too dysfunctional to be a serious threat. And the Dolphins are just "lost". They don't seem to have a clue.

So I guess it's the Bills.

They've added some some defensive help through free agency and had a decent draft.

I lived in the Albany area from 1989-1992, and the Bills fans were annoying as hell back then. The Giants fans I knew were a lot more tolerable, and were actually mad at Jones for the way he let Landry go( a lot were also idiots that though we should have kept Walsh and let Aikman go). The Jets fans mainly wandered around mumbling to themselves and hanging out at the pet store. The Bills look like they are being serious though, and I'm glad to see Jackson get his pay day. If you look at the guy's carreer, he worked hard to finally get this. I admire that, and also liked the way he handled the media when the Bills played the Cowboys, and were trying to get him to talk trash about Cowboys Stadium being built over the home he grew up in.

:laugh1:

Back in the early 90's a Bills' loss was almost as good to me as a Cowboys' win. :D

But after seeing the Bills' become irrelevent over the last 10+ years and the Pats' become all-everything of that division... I'm ready for a change.

I want to hate the Bills again. :)

Think they'll regret giving that huge contract extension to Fitzpatrick though.

Oh it's that and Bills fans are the most fickle, fair weather fans I have ever seen.

How many times in the 90's did a corporation need to come in a buy out the stadium so the games would not be blacked out?

They love to say "no one rally's the wagons" yet 2 games into the preseason the are the SB champs, after 1 loss half the fan base starts looking forward to the Sabre's. By the time they are a couple games in the whole city become obsessed with the Sabre's and never claimed they had any hope for the Bills anyways.

That could be.

I think they saw a "spark" and maybe fired their bullet a bit early.

We'll see this season.

If I was a betting guy, which sometimes I am, I would bet that would be a good bet.

They probably already regret it. He essentially had a 97 QB rating and twice as many TDs(14) than interceptions(7) on the weekend he signed his extension. He signed on October 28th and had a good game on October 30th, but it was all downhill after that. He went on to finish the season with a 79 QB rating, 24 TDs and a league leading 23 interceptions.

I don't know what they saw in a guy who has been in the league for 7 years that they thought would truly change. I also think they will regret having Chan Gaily around in a couple of years.

Fitz was hurt last season. I like what the Bills are doing. Glad to see it since I go to 2 games every year.
